We had a fantastic time whale watching from Tofino on one of Jamie's big boats. We saw a number of grey whales from the beginning, many bald eagles, sea lions and soaked in the rugged west coast island landscape throughout. I'd have to say that the crew were exceptionally friendly, knowledgable and warm hearted – happy to answer questions and point... More

Went out on a day that was too rough...should have been warned about what it will be like and what will likely be seen....as opposed to what "MIGHT" be seen. Yes, we saw gray whales, but barely. The guide was very knowledgeable. The boat is so old and dirty. This is way too much money for basically taking a boat... More

We spent 3 hours on the ocean whale watching with Jamie's Whaling Station in Tofino! The boat was comfortable, the captain knowledgeable and experienced. The two guides who were also on the boat were great at pointing out points of interest along the way and keeping an eye open for whales! On our trip we saw Grey Whales, porpoises, sea... More

Just a short note to say that our trip to Hot Springs Cove with Jamie's Whale Station turned out to be fabulous. Despite repeated mechanical breakdowns on the way to the Springs, which made the journey there nerve racking to say the least, the young man driving was able to somehow get the boat safely to the dock by turning... Dear perkins48, We appreciate the feedback regarding your recent tour with us. We would like to take this opportunity to address the mechanical issues that arose with one of our vessels on the day of your tour. Although we meticulously keep our equipment in excellent working order, boats are not immune to the occasional, unforeseen mechanical problem. In the rare... More

This trip is highly highly recommended! Not only was this a fantastic trip for a person staying in Tofino for a while but it is extremely well suited for the shorter stay. The passionate and enthusiastic guide Tony (one of the best out there) went to every effort to find us all of the wildlife that Tofino has to offer.... More

Great, friendly staff! We went with the 65' vessel and it was a lovely trip! We were lucky to see jumping humpbacks. Awesome!! If you go to Ucluelet or Tofino you most certainly should go on a trip with Jamie's!

We have just returned home from Canada after skiing in Whistler and visiting Tofino. I booked online with Jamie's,before we left N.Ireland and the whale watching trip was confirmed the next day. We arrived in Tofino late at night and having emailed Jamie's again to change the time of our trip, it wasn't a problem. We turned up on a... More

Great how they operate their whale watching tours out of both places! You can either venture into Clayoquot Sound, Tofino or Barkley Sound, Ucluelet. I recommend booking both tours if you can swing it :D We took their 2.5 hour whale tour into Barkley Sound last week for Spring break. Fantastic! The boat is larger than most so it feels... More

Wanted to just put a short blurb about how much fun my family and I had the other day on a whale watch with Jamie's Whaling Station. Granted the seas were ruff and it made it a slight challenge to see the amazing creatures at first, however when we did it was just amazing for me as well as my... More

We were very excited to take a Jamie's whale watching tour. After weighing up the options of choosing the Zodiac or the 65 ft cruiser, we decided on the cruiser as it was going to be warmer and more relaxing. Before we left the harbour I got the impression that this wasn't going to be all it was cracked up... More

Dear Davidrle, We are deeply disappointed to hear of your negative tour experience. Your feedback is as essential today as it was 29 years ago when we started the first whale tour company on Vancouver Island’s West Coast. Please be reassured that we prioritize safety as a daily practice, and support our crew’s ongoing training. All of our Captains are... More
