Description: Jamie's is the West Coast's Original Whale & Wildlife Adventure Centre...
Jamie's is the West Coast's Original Whale & Wildlife Adventure Centre, navigating the waters of Clayoquot and Barkley Sound since 1982. We are thrilled to be celebrating over 30 years on the water! We have the largest fleet in the area, offering whale watching & bear watching on larger covered cruisers or zodiacs! Join our experienced and knowledgeable crew as we help you discover this beautiful destination. We also offer tours to Hot Springs Cove (by boat or seaplane), kayaking, water taxi service to Meares Island, scenic flights, and much more. Visit us at our Tofino and Ucluelet locations, where we have gift shops and lots of FREE parking (including RV parking in Tofino). Please note that all Jamie's tours are subject to a $3 research fee, which goes directly to benefit local, non-profit groups involved with wildlife research, rescue and education. We also have complimentary kennels for your dogs while you're out exploring on one of our tours!

We went on a whale watching trip with Chris as our Captain and Sarah, Liam and Rachel as our crew. What an amazing trip it was! We saw lots of grey whale, and 7 breaches! Which is apparently unheard off. We also saw 2 wolves on our way home, which was pretty special. You always know you are on a... More

We were a group of 8 with 4 adults and 4 children and took a wet and windy trip out to search for Whales on Wed and a sunny sheltered trip out to spot bears on Thurs. We had 2 amazing trips and saw (lots of) bald eagles, harbour seals, sea lions, sea otters but most importantly Grey Wales and,... More

I had a reservation for Whale Watching with Jamie's, however the swells were too high that day to run the zodiac boats on the open ocean looking for whales, so that trip was cancelled. There WAS however a trip taking the "inside" (more protected) route on a larger vessel to Hot Springs Cove that day. Decided to take it and... More

Decided to choose this company to go whale watching as friends had used this company before, not disappointed. Staff friendly and knowledgeable and we were happy with the service provided. Weather not to our advantage this day, and although the captain of the boat tried his best we only saw a few grey whales though not as closely as we... More

Right from the moment we booked to the actual whale watching, the crew was exceptional. If you are with small kids pay the extra to go on the larger boat, it's worth every cent. The skipper Marcel was one of the best captains on the planet. His crew was just as exceptional. We saw whales 20 minutes into the excursion.... More

This morning we took our first Ocean Kayak tour together. I had never been in a kayak before , but after our guide explained the basics I was more comfortable. We selected the 4-hour kayak and rainforest tour, which took us paddling around the islands with a little hike into the rainforest. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area... More

It was torrential rain and off we went to find Whales. Chris the skipper was informative and tried very hard to search for Whales. We saw Sea Otter, Harbour Seal, bald eagle & many other Ducks, sea geese & birds but no whales! Jamie's gave us our vouchers back and said we can use them again anytime, which is very... More

The staff here is among the best you can find in any establishment. Over the phone they were very helpful and offered suggestions and answered questions about Tofino in general. They were able to switch our whale watching time with no problem and very politely. They have a kennel to keep you dog which they showed us before hand and... More

Sorry to write so late about our great trip with the big Boat. Lots of Whales, Sea Lions, Sea Otters and Eagles. It was a rainy day and the waves were quite high, so we felt a bit sick, but made it without getting sick. Take Gravol, the Jamies staff were so friendly to tell us about it. The captain... More
