We used Jamie's twice, from Ucluelet for whaling and Tofino for bears. Would highly recommend both. Whaling was on the larger boat with a highly knowledgeable guide and beautiful views down the coast- a successful trip seeing Grey whales as well as the expected seals and eagles. From Tofino we went on the earliest bear watching of the season; guide... More

Had a great day whale watching. Crew are knowledgeable about the whales migration patterns and behaviours. It wasn't long into the adventure that we spotted whales and followed three grey whales. As the whales were hungry making their way from Mexico to Alaska to feed they were not too active yet socialized enough to get some great pictures. Would love... More

We had travelled from New Zealand to sea kayak to Meare's Island with Jamie's. On the morning of our trip we arrived at their offices at the appointed time, only to be told our guide had pulled a muscle and the trip was cancelled. While I understand that unexpected illness and injury can occur, it was disappointing that they didn't... More

My husband, teenage son & I went out on the morning of April 1st with Chris as our Captain and another couple in a Zodiac to watch the Grey Whales and got to see them and a whole lot more!! It was a terrific trip from start to finish, never a dull moment even when searching for the next spout... More

We really enjoyed this excursion even on a very windy day! Loved the captain's great sense as to when to describe and when to stay quiet and let the scenery speak for itself. We were thrilled to see several whale spouts and the backs of many grey whales. Some people on the boat even saw a very young whale jump... More

We actually went out twice because the weather was so bad on our first try we didn't see any whales, so we went the next day as well, taking up the "see a whale" guarantee. Very friendly people, very knowledgeable, big boat pretty comfortable. And we saw several grey whales, absolutely stunning. Being on the boat, outside, is very windy... More

My husband and I took a whaling tour on a zodiac boat as part of our honeymoon in Tofino. A trip of a lifetime! We headed out and immediately saw bald eagles and then a harbor seal. We were able to see 6-7 gray whales on this trip and one very friendly whale came right up to our boat. Took... More

Had a fantastic afternoon with Jamie's Whaling Station. Our skipper, Brandon, took us out for 3 hours in a Zodiac - fast, exciting, exhilarating - around Clayoquot Sound. He was knowledgable and informative about both the local history and wildlife, but also able to use a good sense of humour. He drew on a wealth of experience to ensure we... More

We have gone whale watching in Alaska, and the Caribbean and this was far and away the best. We saw gray whales, the skipper and crew were respectful of the whales and kept their distance. We saw sea otters, Stellar seals, and the skipper literally went out of his way to get a look at a crested puffin and a... More
