The experience with this trip didn't start out very well as like boat was about half an hour behind. The skipper and the staff on the boat were all very knowledgeable and funny. It was very cool to be out on completely open water. We got to see quite a few animals including sea lions, seals, otters, and even a... More

we visited Jamies for both the Bear and Whale tours and were not disappointed, on both occasions we saw exactly what we set out to see and more. The bear guide was great and the large boat was brilliant for photography and felt very stable. we saw numerous bears, seals and otters and made the trip worthwhile, was also very... More

Went with Jamie’s on their whaling excursion on their big boat, it was foggy when we set off, but the mist slowly lifted and we did manage to see a grey whale, sealions, sea otters and bald eagles. The guides were very informative and happy to answer questions about the wildlife. Would have booked to go on the bear trip... More

While visiting Tofino, we took a kayaking excursion through Jamie's Whaling Station. The staff were very helpful in processing the trip and we had a excellent guide who was informatiive and shared his love of the environment. Would recommend the Meares island trip if you have a chance to do this. If you do not wish to kayak, the staff... More

Back in mid October my husband and I and another couple had the good fortune to take a 3 hour whale watching tour with Jamie's team. Our guide, Jenn had a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much from her! We highly recommend checking this out.

We booked the sea to air tour to the hotsprings and also the bear watching tour. Both were fantastic experiences and can be recommended. The sea to sky tour took off with a wild zodiac ride as the sea was not really calm (notwithstanding the fact that the sun was out). It was great fun but not recommended if you... More

It was off season so we had the place to ourselves. Dennis gives a lot of history and information about the area and even though we live on the island we still learned things. The trail on Meares island is undergoing some maintenance it appears, so the boardwalk was quite bad in some areas, hopefully it will be fixed by... More

Tip: Check your operator's adherence to the wildlife guidance for national parks before booking. If you are told you'll get real close walk away. We had a very good trip to bear watch with Jamie's Whaling and Adventure Centres in Tofino. We left in very atmospheric mists and it was cold but the rib kept us well sheltered and seeing... More

We had a great couple of trips with Jamie's whaling station, one to see whales and one to see black bears. We saw both:) If you are unlucky and miss out seeing them, you are able to get a 'rain check' ticket to go back again. Our guides were great, enthusiastic and friendly.

Whilst in Tofino we planned to take a whale watching trip and Jamie's seemed the company to use. We left in heavy fog and although it provided a great atmosphere I was anticipating disappointment. Fortunately we were taken to a bay where not only did the fog clear but we were able to watch six grey whales from a distance... More
