Description: Jamie's is the West Coast's Original Whale & Wildlife Adventure Centre...
Jamie's is the West Coast's Original Whale & Wildlife Adventure Centre, navigating the waters of Clayoquot and Barkley Sound since 1982. We are thrilled to be celebrating over 30 years on the water! We have the largest fleet in the area, offering whale watching & bear watching on larger covered cruisers or zodiacs! Join our experienced and knowledgeable crew as we help you discover this beautiful destination. We also offer tours to Hot Springs Cove (by boat or seaplane), kayaking, water taxi service to Meares Island, scenic flights, and much more. Visit us at our Tofino and Ucluelet locations, where we have gift shops and lots of FREE parking (including RV parking in Tofino). Please note that all Jamie's tours are subject to a $3 research fee, which goes directly to benefit local, non-profit groups involved with wildlife research, rescue and education. We also have complimentary kennels for your dogs while you're out exploring on one of our tours!

Having been on several whale watching trips, we have learned not to assume you will always see whales - the open seas are not Disneyland! Our recent trip on the Leviathan II was a success, as we not only saw grey whales but other sea life and birds with explanations by a friendly and knowledgeable crew. The ship itself offers... More

The trip was well organised and very interesting. Chris the guide was very knowledgeable and the ride in the Zodiac was great fun. We saw Grey Whales, Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Bald Eagles and a Cormorant, so the trip delivered more than we expected.

Amazing weather, great sightings, and a couldn't-have-been-better crew (Chris, Clare and Michelle). We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon on board the Leviathan, seeing bald eagles, a cormorant, sea otters, sea lions, and multiple grey whales, including a mother and baby. The crew were very knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. Nothing scripted or forced in the way they shared information about what we... More

I would highly recommend Jamie's to anyone interested in seeing bears in a very respectful and professional manner the way Chris and Etienne took us out in their modified (sheltered and comfortable) Zodiak this morning. A great experience and worth the money spent on it.....and worth getting up before six a.m. As well ;-))

Had booked a Hot Springs Tour with Whale Safari, but it was canceled because their boat was in for maintenance. I had sprained my ankle in any case, and wanted to see whales instead, but Safari didn't have a whale watching that afternoon (our only opportunity). So we looked around at what operators might be able to take us whale... More

The trip to find some black bears was well organised, the vessel was clean and tidy and the crew was well informed about local conditions and other wildlife. We saw a couple of bears in two separate locations and spent plenty of time with each to have the chance to take lots of photos. We also paused briefly to look... More

We booked via Jamie's for kayaking, Hot Springs Cove (6 hours), and water taxi to Meares Island for the Big Trees Hike. Very professional and friendly staff. Complimentary kennel service for dogs! And they even walk the dogs while guests are on trips. Hot chocolate, tea, and cocoa complimentary. Nice toilets for last minute trips before getting on board. We... More

Chris took us on an amazing ADVENTURE to Hot Springs Cove - because he went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable experience! We saw eagles, a black bear eating a salmon along the shoreline, a mink was there as well, grey whales and calves feeding, sea loins and sea otters (so adorable). Chris was so... More

Went whale watching in Tofino with Jamie's whaling station and they were FANTASTIC. Michelle, Claire and Chris were a great crew! Cheerful, friendly and knowledgable. We were able to see 3 or 4 grey whales, one which came very close to our boat! Would recommend to everyone! Thanks for the great adventure guys!

Great crew on our afternoon sailing. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Had the pleasure of seeing grey whales, sea otters and a large group of sea lions as well.
