We were in Tofino for only a couple of days with another family and our teenage children. One of the days we went with WCAS on their Hot Springs Tour. There were two options for departure, 9:30 and 12:30, we opted for the earlier which I think was the right one as the hot springs got busier as the day... More

We took a "Hot Springs" tour on Sunday June 29, 2014. We got lucky with weather - a bit of rain but mostly clear, blue skies. The views were stunning. I thought I was in love with the Northern Pacific before – now I’m in awe! Our captain, Tony, was friendly and non-rushed. When he spotted some wild life (and... More

On June 14, 2014 my wife & I joined 7 other passengers for a trip of a lifetime. We had selected West Coast Aquatic Safaris after reviewing Trip Advisor comments of others using this tour company. We were blown away with the knowledge of our captain/guide "Todd". His past & current history of the First Nations Peoples of the area... More

I wish I could remember our driver's name because he was amazing. He constantly popped in and out giving us educational details about where we were and what we were seeing. We saw 3 grey whales, many sea lions, sea otters and eagles. The boat was nice, the staff was wonderful and the scenery was beautiful. Highly recommend.

We took a whale watching tour with WCAS. It was a memorable experience in Tofino! The staffs was knowledgeable and the boat was great(two-story, also has indoor seats). We saw a couple of grey whales, sea lions and bold eagles. We couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you.

Went on the Bear Watching tour. A mixture of amazing views early in the morning, wildlife and a tour guide with a vast knowledge of the surrounding wildlife as well as the general area made this an amazing tour! Rate it very highly.

We spent the afternoon with this company. First out to see bears then a second tour to whale watch. The captain, Tony, was great. Super knowledgeable, considerate and not in a rush. Not sure if it was just luck or his experience but he seemed to anticipate where the whales would be resurfacing and we got the best views compared... More

I recently took a trip with WCAS in Tofino and it didn't start off great. They emailed me two hours before we were to leave saying we couldn't leave because their wasn't enough people. My spouse and I were on our honeymoon and had planned on doing this on a certain day. We did manage to reschedule and they kindly... More

I am an event planner and recently took a corporate group to the Tofino/Ucluelet area. I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of whale watching charter options. After some research, I chose West Coast Aquatic Safaris and was hopeful I made a good choice. Well after our experience, I can tell you I did. The staff was amazing, provided... More

We booked a bear watching trip and spent a wonderful couple of hours on the boat. We saw seals, porpoises and sea eagles and then the highlight with three black bears one with a cub. The captain was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of info about both the animals and local history. The boat offered great views for all.... More
