If you have time when you are in Prince Rupert and if the weather is decent, book a tour out here. The scenery is spectacular, and the trip itself is fun, but you should see bears too, along with eagles, sea lions and birds. We went with Prince Rupert Adventure Tours, and it was a first-rate day in every respect.

Nothing to add except they were fascinating and wonderful to watch. Would do it again, if I got the chance. I took a boat plane tour (pacific Air) which flew us to the inlet, We then transferred onto a boat with our guide who had been doing summer seasons with bears for over 25 years. He really knew his way... More

The trip there is worth to see the mountains from the water. Bears might be in sight or not; if they are it is a great experience.

We went on the day long boat trip with Adventure Tours - not cheap but worth every penny! The staff on the boat were brilliant and knowledgeable. We saw several bears, eating grass, digging for clams, sunning themselves - I was quite emotional about the whole experience. It felt like a real privilege to be there so close to these... More

Came here with Adventure Tours on one of their day boat trips. Weather was glorious (always a plus), and the boat was very impressive. Saw about 6 or so bears (which seems to be about average, based on other reviews), but regardless, that's not really on the Tour company. Scenery was utterly stunning; sailing up the fjord was quite beautiful... More

Lots of bears, wildlife and the experience was once in a lifetime. This is not something you can do in many places in the world. The amount of whales, seals, eagles and bears in one area is like being in a wildlife documentary, but in REAL life!

Attentive and informative crew, comfortable boat. However, it was a long day with little to see. We saw one whale and one young grizzly bear. The captain was great and took us as close and stayed as long as possible. On the way back the boat stopped and we saw several eagles.

We signed up for a Grizzly Bear Cruise but we didn't get to see many (one too far away and another hidden in the grass). However we had an awesome time with the Orcas! We saw at least 14 Orca whales and at the end of the cruise they feed the eagles so you get great eagle pictures too.

We were not sure whether June was a good month to visit, but it was. We went all the way to Prince Rupert primarily to go to Khutzeymateen and did a day boat trip there. Saw about 8 bears at fairly close range. The whole experience was fantastic with magnificent views of forest, mountains and water and a tranquil place.... More
