Great staff offering wonderful service and helpful information about the Penticton area. Also the wine store in the same building has all the local winery wines.

The Penticton & Wine Country Visitor Centre is a wealth of information. The staff is very informative and there is lots of printed material on information of the area. As a bonus is the Wine Information Centre in the same building with hundreds of wines of the area to purchase and a beautiful gift shop as well.

If you don't have the time to check out each winery in the Okanagan Valley (250+ wineries) this is your place to get some of the finest local wines for purchase in down town Penticton. Also get some ideas which wineries will suit you and worth paying a visit.

The visitors center and wine store has lots of great wine from the region that you can't buy anywhere else. They sold us some packing boxes so we could bring out wine home on the plane, and would have shipped the wine to our house if we wanted. They also provided maps and guidance on biking the Kettle Valley Trail.

Like the Wine Museum in Kelowna, the info centre carries VQA (so not all wineries will be represented) wines focussing on the southern Okanagan. Go here to pick up stuff not available in the liquor stores or perhaps sold out at the winery (if the winery even does farm gate sales).

Here you can purchase from a variety of (only) BC VQA wines. Excellent selection in addition to gift items and wine accessories (wine charms, bottle bags, etc.) in addition to a very good visitor centre where you can pick up maps and brochures for anything, anywhere in the province.

We were setting out on a tour of the wineries in the Penticton/Naramata area but had little advance information on locations and hours of operation. This was an inspired stop. We were able to pick up a few relevant procures and chat with some very knowledgeable individuals. We also had a quick taste of a local wine. The Centre sells... More
