At LA FRENZ , we believe the quality in the bottle begins in the vineyard. Cutting edge and meticulous vineyard practices are used in combination with varieties tailored to the unique soils and micro climates of our vineyard sites to produce the vibrant and intense grape characters found only in the Okanagan Valley. The potential of the resulting fruit, using experience and careful stewardship throughout the vinification process, is maintained and enhanced to create exceptional wines that truly reflect the grape variety and vineyard site.We welcome you to our unique wine shop overlooking Lake Okanagan. This spectacular view was featured on the $100 banknote from 1954 to 1975. From April through October, we are open daily, 10am to 5pm for tastings and purchases. « less

La Frenz makes great wine. Better yet, they make great, affordable wine. The downside is it’s not easy to come by, and you pretty much have to visit the winery to get your hands on it. The tasting room is tucked in among the vines, and walking up to it feels like a small pilgrimage, especially when you know what... More

It does not surprise me that this winery has won Best Small Winery of the Year, Riverside International Wine Competition. The wines we sampled were all very, very good, and it was hard to pick only a few. The Shiraz was a standout for us. Our server was a bit edgy but overall the winery provided an excellent opportunity to... More

We went midday on a Saturday and the place was packed. It was hard to find a place to taste along the bar. The lady who served us gave us no explanation of any of the vintages and scowled at us when we asked for the spittoon as we were both taking turns driving and went to several vineyards that... More

This was on our list of top 10 BC wineries to visit and we were not disappointed! Every single wine we tasted was delicious and we wish we could have bought more! The staff were very friendly and the winery has a lovely patio to bring your picnic. Don't miss this one!

We enjoyed our visit. The tasting room is a bit small but there is a patio. It would be nice to have something to nibble on ( crackers?) as you taste. All the staff we met were friendly, knowledgable and took extra time with us ( mind you they were not busy when we were there). I try not to... More

We were told to visit this winery because they have really good wine and we weren't disappointed. It was a Sunday in June and we expected a crowd but it was pretty quiet. The view from the winery is great - looking out over the lake. The tasting room is small but nice and they don't sell anything except wine... More

It was a Thursday at the end of May so it was quiet in the winery and we had a nice relaxed and fun tasting. The wines are really good year to year and we always come back for more. Now looking forward to the new reds being released.

Year after year this winery does not disappoint. A trip to the winery is a must if you are touring the Naramata Bench. Make it your first stop - its close to Penticton. After you've toured the rest of "the Bench" you'll be back to La Frenz for more. With a pedigree from Australia and other BC winery work -... More

This was my first visit to this smallish winery. I was impressed with their wines and the view of the valley from their tasting room (the view is the one depicted on the old $100 bill). They had an extensive offering of wines to taste and I was particularly impressed with their whites and their port style wines, and purchased... More

Been enjoying the wines of La Frenz since it opened; tasting room was basically a shed back then. Always look forward to our visit. Their white wines have consistently been great or have improved. I have so many favourites: semillon, Riesling, Viognier, and of course, Alexandria and Montage. Sadly, if you arrive late in the season they are probably sold... More
