Owner description: We are located on the beautiful Naramata Bench in the heart of the Okanangan Valley. At LA FRENZ , we believe the quality in the bottle begins in the vineyard. Cutting edge and meticulous vineyard practices are used in combination with varieties tailored to the unique soils and micro climates of our vineyard sites to produce the vibrant and intense grape characters found only in the Okanagan Valley. The potential of the resulting fruit, using experience and careful stewardship throughout the vinification process, is maintained and enhanced to create exceptional wines that truly reflect the grape variety and vineyard site.We welcome you to our unique wine shop overlooking Lake Okanagan. This spectacular view was featured on the $100 banknote from 1954 to 1975. From April through October, we are open daily, 10am to 5pm for tastings and purchases.

This winery is almost a secret since there are very few places you can buy their products besides direct from the winery. I order a few mixed cases each year and am never disappointed. In fact, each year seems to be better. Make this place a mandatory stop.

I had the pleasure of visiting this winery during the Fall Festival in October and upon first arriving I was immediately taken in by the entire atmosphere. Not only does this modest tasting room have an authenticity not always found among wineries of the area, but it overlooks a breathtaking view that is equally as rare. I was welcomed by... More

We have taken La Frenz off our list of wineries to bring visitors to. Why would we do that as they are listed as the "best small winery for a second year in a row"? We recently did a wine tour which included five local wineries (small and large) with our friends two couples from the USA. We had been... More

Dear Garry C, As the owner of LA FRENZ I'm very surprised and disappointed that your experience here was anything less than excellent and I do apologise that it wasn't. We try to hire the very best staff possible and train them to a standard that we expect them to treat our valued customers. "Small winery of the year" at... More

We have visited this lovely winery many many times over the years. No cute little shop, no cutesy souvenirs, no cheese and crackers. Just wonderful wine and knowledgeable people pouring it. We were in the Okanagan just last week and because I have to insert a date of my visit, I entered Sept. 2014. That's not true though. We did... More

We tasted several wines here. We chose to purchase a 2012 Shiraz (Rockyfeller VYD) a smokey tasting Shiraz; 2012 Reserve Chardonnay; and a NV Liqueur Muscat a nice desert wine.

Friendly staff. I wandered around the vineyard for a few minutes taking some nature photos before we did a tasting. During the tasting, one of the staff members mentioned that the entire area is a rattlesnake habitat. Definitely glad I didn't wander too far off of the paths!

We booked the reserved tasting as we prefer slightly higher end wines. We were seated on the patio with an amazing lake and vinyard view. We sampled 5 wines which were generously poured! We could have sat there all day!

La Frenz makes great wine. Better yet, they make great, affordable wine. The downside is it’s not easy to come by, and you pretty much have to visit the winery to get your hands on it. The tasting room is tucked in among the vines, and walking up to it feels like a small pilgrimage, especially when you know what... More

It does not surprise me that this winery has won Best Small Winery of the Year, Riverside International Wine Competition. The wines we sampled were all very, very good, and it was hard to pick only a few. The Shiraz was a standout for us. Our server was a bit edgy but overall the winery provided an excellent opportunity to... More

We went midday on a Saturday and the place was packed. It was hard to find a place to taste along the bar. The lady who served us gave us no explanation of any of the vintages and scowled at us when we asked for the spittoon as we were both taking turns driving and went to several vineyards that... More
