Lovely Views and great lunch

My Mom and I wanted a light lunch with beautiful views, and The Pecking Room met the criteria. Such a beautiful place to enjoy 30+ temperatures. yum!!

We asked the front desk of our hotel on which winery to visit and Red Rooster was recommended. I ended up buying a case of their reserve Syrah and Gurtzstraminer. At $26 for the Syrah and $19 for the Gurtzstraminer it was a bargain for wines that could easily cost $50 and up

This review is for their restaurant, The Pecking Room Patio Grill. My husband and I went for lunch and it was very tasty. We shared the flatbread with the dips and a smoked trout and apple pizza which was deelish. Our server was very friendly. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

Went here and did a wine and chocolate tasting with a friend. Lots of fun, staff helping us was very knowledgeable. We will absolutely make this one of our future wine tour stops.

The winery itself is very nice, but the wines were not so good. There's a very good shop, with lots of souvenirs, very interesting.

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Pecking Room Patio Grill ... great food paired with great wine and you can't beat the view! My recommendation ... the small peckings or the pizza's.

Very beautiful winery and a nice little wine shop as well. Bought some good wine and some novelty items, fun!

This is a more personable winery, nice and easy going staff. Adam, the gentleman who was our wine tasting guide was very informative, friendly and answered all our questions. . . he took us out to the vineyards and showed us around. . . very nice!

I was under the impression that Kelowna was the wine capital of BC - which it may be. Penticton can't be that far behind; the beautiful lake views make Red Rooster and all of the NBWA wineries something special. The wine was fabulous; $5 for a tasting of four fabulous wines. I didn't get a chance to eat at the... More

Took our visiting Australian friends on a self-drive wine tour. It was early season (March 22) so only limited wineries pen. Red Rooster was very welcoming with a great staff member who was friendly and passionate about her wine. The advantage of going early in the season is they waive the normal $5.00 per person tasting fee. They also had... More
