Pipers Lagoon is a lovely little beach and walking area that is tucked in close to the shore. Protection from the rocks nearby mean that even on a windy day it is quite calm and warm. A popular spot to sunbath and swim - arrive early to get parking.

Piper's Lagoon is a beautiful park. If you're in Nanaimo and a fan of wildlife and nature, visit it! You won't regret it, although it can be a little out of the way.

Beautiful walk in the city of Nanaimo so you don't have to drive very far to enjoy. The scenery is absolutely beautiful!

Piper's Lagoon is a small, shallow bay into which the tide rushes and exits twice a day. Because it is so shallow, on a sunny day the water is very warm, so wading with little ones is fun. If you are a swimmer, come here on low tide and wait for the incoming tide. Get in the water at the... More

This is a park with a large south facing gravel beach. I like to bring my grandson here to play in the clean gravel in the sun

One of the prettiest parks in Nanaimo. Great spot to go for a walk, enjoy the views of the water or take a picnic. Also public beach access for those who want to take a dip.

Went there with visitors from England and had a great time. Lovely scenery. Great for hiking. Be careful with children if you decide to climb the rocky hill to get a better view of the old summer shacks on Shack Island. There are secluded beaches as well beyond the rocks.

Love the park. I can walk to it. It has a mixture of easy and moderate difficulty walking trails, good swimming beach for children. Picnic tables, space big enough to have a wedding picnic. Flush toilets. I took my grandson there age about 3 to climb a steep rock on the lagoon side of the burm. It was challenging, but... More
