It is a good place to walk and adventure. However I found it sort of a smaller area. The trails are nice and well maintained. It's a nice place to spend an hour.

In the winter months, sea lions often congregate offshore, along with hordes of gulls. River otters can be spotted too, and there are resident bald eagles and often many waterfowl. If you don't like walking up steepish rocks, it's best to visit the park at low tide so that you can walk around the rock promontory and out around the... More

I have been to this park many times in my life (probably at least 100) and it's still one of my favourites in Nanaimo. It's a great place to swim in the summer. The walking trails are great year round. You might be physically fit to climb the rocks though. Great place to take photos.

this is sea world at it's best for every age. the open ocean and Sandy beach on one side of the 'spit' or walk way and a lovely quiet lagoon on the other. birds and seals abound, lots of parking, rocks to climb. sadly there is no designated time frame for off the lead dogs.

At Piper's Lagoon you can enjoy a relaxing walk along the sandy beach, explore the rocks, or just sit on one of the benches and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. Watch the ferries come and go, enjoy the birds on the water... The possibilities are endless! Best of all it is easily accessible and not too far off the beaten... More

This is a beautiful park for walking with a friend. Walk along the lagoon and watch BC Ferries come and go from their terminal across the water. The only downsides about this park are the limited parking during summer months and the poor bathroom facility. Great place to swim too.

this park is great any time of the year - the beach is awesome for swimming in the summer with amazing views of the mainland..we have even spotted whales while at the beach. Also really good for an easy walk out to the point and around the loop.
