This was one of several seaside walks listed in a book we picked up last summer in Victoria. So far they have all been very good and this was one of our favourites. Remember to bring a camera and pack a lunch, there are some beautiful spots along the way.

I've seen many weddings here, grad photos and just fun family time. Small sandy beach area but also a larger rocky beach area. Tables to picnic and a grassy area for other things. Don't miss this spot, it's great.

Very appreciative to have had a friend show me this place. Short but beautiful walk up and over rocks, wonderful places to stop and stare out to spy the BC Ferry or people on Shack Island. I can't wait to visit in the summer and watch the sunset on one of the grassy bluffs.

This is a great walk anytime of the year. The seasons change and this wonderful spit with bay and oceanfront have different views and different geography.

Great park with lots to see and do. Well groomed paths that helped me connect with nature. Would be a great place to relax in the summer.

Such a beautiful area to walk. It can get a little busy at the bottom however you can hike a little away and find more breath taking views.

wonderful stretch of spit for walks and overlooking the Salish Sea and the mountains; In the summers, there is a pebble beach where people go to picnic and swim.

Just off Hammond Bay Road in north Nanaimo, a long spit curls around to make a pretty bay in the Strait of Georgia. Lovely arbutus trees. Beautiful walk. My first time here was 33 years ago for a late spring sun rise. It's still as pretty as ever even if I'm a lot older. And am happy to say IT... More

The park has a great view of the ocean and is ideally situated for family gatherings, picnics and even weddings. Our son had his wedding there and the location and ambiance was great.

Beautiful scenic walk by the water, sunny day but wasn't crowded at all. Perfect place to feel the true spirit of this island.
