Was a beautiful view. Lots of great sea life on the shore to entertain the kids. Place to kayak and wind surf. A great place to relax. Wasn't crowded or overly busy.

We come here regularly for a walk or just to sit and have a coffee. Only problem is parking in the summer time.

Really enjoyed the beautiful landscape and ocean views. It's very windy and the signposts to the park are somewhat small, but it's worth a visit.

Great place for walks. If you are lucky you may spot some wildlife. Flat aware for walking, hills for climbing. Direct ocean side as well as lagoon side without the waves. Great place to walk dogs.

Pipers Lagoon is a great place to explore the rugged beauty off the Salish Sea. There are numerous benches to sit and read, relax, or have a picnic on one of the picnic benches. There is a causeway that leads out to the hiking area. Once one gets to the end of the causeway, you have a choice of going... More

Love this place! It is small (no long hike here) but packed with all sorts of stuff. Along the causeway, you have the beach on one side and the tidal lagoon on the other. A great place for the kids to play. Then there is the rocky promontory you have to climb to get to the treed area - short... More

This is a wonderful place to find, special views, peace and quiet, take a leisurely walk or simply sit on a log and look at the ever changing ocean. It is definitely one of our favorite places to relax in Nanaimo. We love sharing it with visitors.

Great place to go for a short hike with minimum difficulty on a small island off Nanaimo. At low tide you can also go over to Shack Island a historical story in Nanaimo. You can also bring a boat and sit on a bench on the ocean and have some quiet time

There is nothing to dislike about Pipers Lagoon. It's so accessible by car with plenty of parking and a public washroom is a great help in making a trip to Pipers Lagoon trouble-free. There are picnic tables in a large meadow just in front of the beach, but the best part of the Lagoon is the walk to the higher... More
