I've been to a lot of beaches but I thoroughly enjoyed Pipers! It was a glimpse of different. There was a small hill to walk up and a beautiful lookout to greet me at the top. Also! If you're tall like me, you may or may not appreciate the bench at the top. I could actually dangle my legs and... More

lovely park. It is nice that Nanaimo has so many parks and lovely hide aways. This is one of many that you can enjoy with a dog and maybe a good book. I enjoy it best at low tide but it does have mud flats when the tide is out so if you're taking your dog remember your towel so... More

Many trails await you at this park. There are plenty of coves to see at the shore. There's also lots of free parking and clean modern washrooms you can use.

Such a lovely park just off of Hammond Bay Road. A trail leads along a spit then does a loop around the small rocky headland with arbutus trees and other coastal type forest vegetation. Great views along the way and fun for bird watching too. The dogs loved the trail walk even though they are NOT allowed on the beach... More

Loved the place. Cute beach, lots of arbutus trees and really accessible! Bring the binoculars, as there are lots of things to see.

Nice small park with a short hike that has amazing views. Not the best beach but I would recommend it if you have the time.

My girlfriend's son got married here and we were told to check it out .. we did and it is a lovely place to go to have an evening stroll with the dog or 'get away from it all' anytime of day...

Piper's Lagoon Park has lovely views of the sound and good short hikes and mild climbs around the lagoon. It's also a nice place to sit and relax or to drop in a line if inclined to fish.

a wonderful park located just off Hammond Bay Rd. Bring a light picnic and be prepared to walk a bit to find a perfect place. Fanastic views of the Sunshine Coast and amazing sunsets at night. There are rocky bluffs for climbing, garry oak trees, a few small and delightful coves for exploring. The water is a bit cold for... More

Great place to go and relax and listen to the ocean either by yourself or with family! Listen to waves and/or walk on the shore.
