A beautiful place to go for a hike. We enjoyed walking along the shore and watching as the tide came in and filled up the lagoon. We ventured into the woods for a nice circle route walk and saw dolphins from our perch high up on the rocks. A gem!

Tide was out , so poor timing for us, but a lovely spot for picnic and a wander. Lots of families out on the Sunday we were there.

Loved the trails and the different beaches along the way. Pets on leashes on trails. Like to come back here when the tides out and warmer weather. We watched a couple of scuba divers and some seals.

Pipers Lagoon Park is truly a place to see if you're driving around the Nanaimo area. It is not a big park though, so don't expect to walk there for hours. I would say at a regular pace it takes 30 minutes to walk it all. But it is so worth it. Not only the view is spectacular, but you... More

Wear good boots if you're going to walk Pipers Lagoon! It will most likely involve some rock scrambling...unless the tide is out! Watch for Eagles, seals and sea lions!

We were there at high tide so had to climb the rocks to get to the path around the lagoon. We are youngish seniors and were able to manage this okay. Definitely out if you have a walker. Sometimes the path ends abruptly, so be prepared to again climb some rocky sections. Great views!

This was one of several seaside walks listed in a book we picked up last summer in Victoria. So far they have all been very good and this was one of our favourites. Remember to bring a camera and pack a lunch, there are some beautiful spots along the way.

I've seen many weddings here, grad photos and just fun family time. Small sandy beach area but also a larger rocky beach area. Tables to picnic and a grassy area for other things. Don't miss this spot, it's great.

Very appreciative to have had a friend show me this place. Short but beautiful walk up and over rocks, wonderful places to stop and stare out to spy the BC Ferry or people on Shack Island. I can't wait to visit in the summer and watch the sunset on one of the grassy bluffs.
