My family and I (Husband, 16 year old daughter and 14 year old son) travelled to Nanaimo, late last fall and went on a great dive with two young men. our captain Mark, and our divemaster Kenny. Mark took us to the rivtow lion first, where Kenny led us on a great dive of the ship, we saw an octopus... More

Had contacted Ed the owner from the UK and made enquiries about diving. Explained there would only be two of us. No problem they would run a boat just for the two of us. He explained there was a lot of local shore dives if I wanted to do them. Unfortunately I have trouble with one of my ankles and... More

We did a couple of expeditions with them - first day went snorkeling with the seals. The seals won't get too close to you but they will get curious and swim by or under you. You will be dressed in a wet suit with fins/mask/snorkel provided - and it is quite warm, don't need to worry about getting cold! Did... More

4 divers and no water and no snacks either - how much could it cost for a sleeve of cookies and some bottled water. Dive master was only with us for 1 dive and apparently if we wanted him on the 2nd, it was an additional $100. Guess we expected more.

Ed at Sundown Diving was fantastic, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. After our initial reservation had to be cancelled because the weather was too rough, Ed pleasantly agreed to rearrange things and have us go on Easter Monday. He suited us up in extra thick wet suits, took us out to snake island and we jumped in the water and spent... More

Just completed 4 days diving with Sundown Diving run by Ed Singer and have had a great time. Having travelled from the UK specifically to dive the local wrecks, Ed worked the sites around some fairly challenging weather so I could dive all three (HCMS Saskatchewan, HCMS Cape Breton and Rivetow Lion (formerly HMS Prudent) and then sorted out some... Friends got us a gift certificate to snorkel with seals that we were finally able to find a weekend to use. What fun! Ed and the staff at Sundown Diving were all fantastic. We arrived late because our hotel gave us the wrong directions to the place, but we called ahead and they patiently waited for us to arrive. The... More

Do not miss the opportunity to see the harbour seals in their natural environment. We have been equipped with wetsuites, masks, flippers etc. and drove with a small boat out to snake island. There we jumped in the water and paddeled towards the shore where the seals patiently looked at the new arrivals. That day the seals were quite curious... More
