Be careful dealing with Sandypoint Beach Campground near Salmon Arm BC, especially with your credit card information. We booked over the phone for a weekend stay in early July, were charged twice and have been fighting with them for a refund for over 2 months. Shockingly poor customer service, dumbfoundingly difficult to work with to resolve the double charge and... More

This place has everything you need and if it doesn't, usually a local is willing to help. Great little hidden secret. The family enjoys every time we go to the lake. Lots of attractions, go carts, mini golf, local corner store for ice cream etc, boat rentals... it has it all... even a restaurant and pub for the parents :)

This lake is huge. It's a great drive is you want to enjoy a long drive with great views. There are many places to stop and have a swim or to camp. If you are on Shuswap lake by boat you will find even more to explore. Beware, though, this lake can turn into a very dangerous lake during a... More

We live near the Shuswap Lake and never tire of going there...why travel when something so beautiful is in your own backyard? We've been houseboating with friends, boating with our family, and have many friends that fish here. A must visit location!

We recently spent four days on a houseboat from Waterway Marina and Resort - 14 of us, including two grandparents, two children, a spouse and 11 grandchildren, aged 4-18. We loved it on the houseboat, Genesis 60, with the water slide and hot tub. Accommodations very good, no problems, and registration and signing out very quick and efficient. Beaches a... More

We just finished spending a fantastic week on the Shuswap with my parents, our children aged 17 and 23 and my Sister's family. We were 9 in all and found the Mirage 65 gave us plenty of room to eat together, socialize and just hang out. The staff at Waterway were very helpful and friendly and worked extra hard to... More

We got a copy of this guide from our campsite and the couple of rides we did were excellent. The Salmon Arm / Silver Creek ride was as described and very low traffic. The Notch Hill was interesting and a train was going through the tunnel and around behind us while we were on route. Highly recommended guide. There is... More

They don't call this the house Boat Capital for nothing, miles and miles of secluded shoreline to choose from, warm summer waters and thousands of places to park and hike into the wild.

This area seems to be the "go-to" spot for cottages and summer living. Lots of boats, water can be a bit murky depending on what part of the lake you are visiting. Love seeing the houseboats out on the lake...a great idea for the family or a group of friends. Water was cooler than the lakes in the southern interior... More

We have been here often over the years. Camping as well as staying at our friends cabin. The weather can be very unpredictable at times. Being beautiful one moment and a storm the next..
