My sister & hubby rented a pontoon boat for us family, w/ 5 kids amongst us, to go pleasure cruising and also to tube! The boat went fast enough to do so & we did! It was almost creepy how warm the water was when you jumped in it! It was awesome! I wasn't in a hurry to get out... More

Huge, beautiful lake to explore, be it by motorized boat, houseboat rentals(out of Sicamous), kayak or SUP (rentals at Sun Beach in Celista). There is even an island to explore, called Copper Island. Come to see us, in the Shuswap! Camping available, in Scotch Creek and Blind Bay. In August, each year, the Roots and Blues Festival is on, in... More

Great lake for houseboating! Explore Scotch Creek and all of its amenities. Traveling up the northern arms such as Anstey (spelling is wrong I know) is absolutely beautiful and there are so many untouched beaches and places to explore,

There are so many activities people can enjoy on and around the lake from laying on the beach at herald park or canoe, to taking motor boats and house boats for a cruse around the lake and enjoying almost any... This is a stunning lake to see. On sunny days the water is such a pretty turquoise blue. Makes you want to swim in it, as well as boating. There are very limited boat launch areas for this lake, but if you do get a chance to launch yours your won't be disappointed. The lake is not that big and... More

1000 km of shoreline where you can swim, ski, boat or rent a houseboat in Sicamous BC. There are water falls and many beached easily accessible from the water.

The views from the lake, the clarity of the waters, and the ample opportunities for recreation of all types is completely admirable. This is one of the must see places in all of Canada. However, as is the case with the nearby Okanagan, summer is virtually off limits as the lake is nothing more than a speedboat racing venue. It... More

Super beautiful place. However it was super crowded in summer when I visit for the first. Visited many times after it during early morning and late evening, this is the best time to avoid crowd. Nice walk around the lake and kayaking was fun as well.
