When you are interested in native art and items, you will find a wide variety of objects, items and prices available at Turtle Island. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly, and welcomes questions while allowing you time to browse the many items. We have found several gift items for those who are visiting, as well as those who appreciate the... More

This store had a variety of very nice pieces. My favourites were the big wood carved boxes with native art on them as well as the feather pieces used for smudging. They also had wonderful soapstone figures, prints, drums, jewelery, blankets moccasins, etc. There were also more modern pieces of work for everyday use such as scarves and serving items... More

Stopped here with my wife by chance and walked out an hour later with a gold ring (for her) and a silver bracelet (for myself). The salesperson was very helpful and patient as we mulled over a number of potential purchases and finally settled on two. Overall, they have a good selection of merchandise at reasonable prices so we'll definitely... More

This place has lots of odds and ends produced in a generic Pacific North West Coast vocabulary of forms (I.e., "Native art"), but I have to admit I am a bit suspicious. Almost none of the work is by anyone whose name I recognize, and I've been following this stuff for years. There are some well made things, so don't... More

Wow, thank you for your caustic review. First let me comment that most people cannot afford to spend $10's of thousands of dollars to have Bill Reid, Robert Davidson, Dempsey Bob or Susan Point art in their home. Secondly, every piece of art, be it a wood carving, mask, painting, limited edition print, hand carved gold and silver jewellery, is... More

More than well made crafts, the gallery has beautiful works of art and clothing made by various First Nations. The quality is exceptional. I've purchased many items from here over the years for special people in my life.

as soon as we walked in the door the first thing I did was take a picture! Amazing store, owner and staff! I cannot say enough good about this store. Was the highlite of my vacation to kelowna. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the Gallery, from the Native art to the handmade mocossin's. This Gallery is... More

Upon entering the store a large Golden Lab was laying on the floor. As I bent over to pat him, he reached up and playfully grabbed my scarf in his mouth. As I got free from this cute dog and stopped laughing, I wandered the store and found many beautiful Native art. They were very friendly and helpful and went... More

A trip to the Okanagan for us must include a visit to this gallery to add to our collection of Native Art. We have purchased several pieces from Georgette and they look so magnificent in our cottage on the Ottawa River. There is always too much choice and it is a very hard decision to decide what to add! Georgette... More

What a wonderful review of Turtle Island Gallery! I am so happy that you enjoyed your experience in the Gallery, thank you! The artists are the most important part of my business, without them, and most I have known for many, many years, the gallery wouldn't be what it is today.! I look forward to seeing you next time you... More

This is by far one of my favourite stores to visit and shop in. The owner, Georgette Johnson is so knowledgeable about all the west coast native art and jewelery she offers for sale. When you make a purchase, you feel like you have bought direct from the artist them self. Periodically she has artists in her gallery book signing... More

I go to Kelowna couple times a year and was lucky enough to find this most incredible gem. I did find a beautiful mask that took my breath away. If your ever in Kelowna you must see this gallery. And I like to mention the staff was very friendly not pushy at all, can't wait to revisit in summer 2013.
