A place to camp

Although we could only walk through the camp grounds as it was not open for camping yet, we will definitely come back to camp, lovely area to walk.

Spent all weekend here, and everything was great except the staff were absolutely awful and rude towards us. Although we were not trespassing anywhere, they threatened us many times with charging an extra 32$ for being in a "wrong area"although we were camping there. Even if we were in an out of bounds area (if sitting at a picnic table... More

Fascinating story of an early gutsy aristocrat and how he settled in the Okanagan Valley. The heritage house is kept up very well by the Society and the entrance fee is not too high. One could certainly feel the presence of what once was. Unfortunately, the tour we took was at the end of the day and the very nice... More

We missed the tour of the house but did hike around the area. The waterfall was a climb but after a few stops to enjoy the view we made it. A little sad as it looked as if some of the out buildings surrounding the barn were in need of upkeep. We camped at Bear Creek campground and after seeing... More

We drove here from Vernon to the Country Fair which was very good and everyone was friendly. The estate , house and lawns looked very nice. We just went to the beach area to relax for a while and we were very disappointed as it was small and the grass area was very short on grass and covered in weeds,... More

Partway up the lake and across from Kelowna. A quiet place to camp away from the busy summer folk. Quiet beaches and treed location.

We went camping there for 5 days at the end of August. We found the camp ground to be very clean. The camp ground hosts and the park staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach area was small and alittle rocky. All and all a very nice relaxing spot. We will return again.

It looks as if someone forgot to pay the bills and have let the place go. Have there been severe budget cuts to this park?

The waterfall was stunning - a real surprise. Not hard to get to at all - my 4 year old had no problems climbing the stairs and it's really worth it when you get to the top. We didn't use the beach but it looked pretty nice and the bathrooms were clean.

Visit the Fintry Provincial Park a couple of week ago. The manor house was great! The hike to the waterfall is nice but don't do in the heat as there isn't much shade. The old farm buildings are interested to check out to. This site also has a few geocaches available!
