this park is always packed and active with something. Water activities, festivals, movie in the park, skate park, fields for freesbie etc... great park and picnic place for the whole family.

This beach is great and good for families and young people alike. The only caution I would add is that the lake gets deep fairly quickly. If you are a strong swimmer you have nothing to worry about but if you have young kids who cannot swim you might want to go to Rotary Beach south on Lakeshore.

Recently attended a 3 on 3 basketball tournament in the park. So beautiful next to the water! Great playground for small children, great beach and water activities, and a yummy food vender cooking everything fresh to order.

We took a picnic supper and enjoyed a Parks Alive! concert here, as the sun set behind us. It was a beautiful warm evening, very relaxing and a nice way to visit with good friends.

Lovely, quite clean. A fabulous place to park your lawn chair and relax or activities galore - water play, roller blading, biking, playgrounds that provided water play or regular climbing and gym activities.

It's a nice park, but a bit bland and both times I have been there recently, the park is littered with rough people. You can't just relax because you need to keep the children away from them. Also, you have to pay for parking. The park is starting to show some wear and tear so the city needs to step... More

My group (5 adults, 3 kids) hit up City Park on a somewhat dreary weekday but it wasn't that cold so we went and had fun. There's swimming in the lake on a nice sandy beach, Gyro Watersports has a huge rental area of slides and such ($20 for a one time entry, $25 for a day pass to come... More

Loved the huge trees that filled the park. Great place to picnic, take time out or enjoy all the activities on offer. I walked through with my teenage son looking at the splash playground, skate park and the awesome aqua activity in the lake. What a fantastic place for young families to go and cool off..There are 3 or 4... More

the park is right in downtown Kelowna, with the sandy city beach on the southern side. Beautiful big trees and green grass, with numerous fountains and food stands. By the entrance to the pubs and restaurant area are the jewelry stands. The thing that these jewelry sellers never learned is: most of the tourists don't come to Kelowna to buy... More

We went down to City Park the first night we were in Kelowna. We had two 12 year old boys with us armed with bikes and skateboards. There was a nice skatepark, (for skateboards and BMX) waterpark, place to swim in the lake, an obstacle course floating in the lake, walking paths along the lake and the park is close... More
