Biked thru it from our hotel. Cool to visit, with a beach, lots of places to eat and tons of things for kids. Water activities and sports. Busy with tourists and families on vacation. Can be there 1 hour or 5 hours depending on your time at the beach. Looked at a fun place for kids in particular. We chose... More

This park used to nice now it's filled with druggies, street people and beggars. It is filled with grime and grunge. Used to be a good family place , now it's scary. And yet I never see the RCMP there patrolling? They should have a couple officers there full time kicking the drugged out bums and letting families enjoy their... More

We spent the day here and had a great time. We started in the water playground called Wibit. We saw it last year and decided not to do it. We did do it this year and I recommend it. My kids are 8 and 10 and this is a great age for them to go. I wouldn't recommend kids a... More

Talk about a well cared for park. They go above and beyond with the lawn care and you can't beat the boardwalk along the waterfront.

We visited Kelowna last weekend to participate in the annual "Across the Lake" open water swim. The finish line was at City Park. We hung around on the beach for several hours after the race & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The city fathers deserve all kinds of credit for resisting the temptation to sell the land to developers & leave the... More

City Park should be the crowning gem of downtown Kelowna. Right on the shores of the beautiful Okanagan Lake, it has lots of old trees (had more up until a major windstorm took several out a few years ago), it has Hot Sands Beach for swimming, a great waterpark for kids to play in that's free of charge, a wonderful... Beaches are unique (bridge view) and varied. A little busy in the summer. Awesome weather, lots of grass for sitting and picnics. Good view and many activities, and close to downtown.

Decent playground, splash park, seating area, sandy beach and boardwalk. The place to be during Kelowna summers. Lots of homeless and/or people with addictions living under the large trees away from the water so best not to leave children unattended. Overall, a great place to spend a summer day/evening.

The City Park is great little spot to hang out with the kids. They have a small spray park along side a public skate park. It wasn't overly crowded and had access to food vendor's and a public washroom. Lot's of grass to drop a blanket and relax, or have a picnic. Great view of the lake and close to... More
