We visited Carmelis on the recommendation of our B&B hosts and were glad we did. There are beautiful views from this location of the lake and surrounding countryside. Lots of goats. And delicious cheeses and ice creams. For a small fee, waived if you make a purchase, you get a tasting tour of the various kinds of goat cheeses. They... More

We put this on our agenda while visiting Kelowna, and are glad that we did. Wonderful cheeses to sample and purchase, and then finish off with one of their delicious goat cheese gelatos.....many flavors of gelato, a bit pricey but you can opt for just a dish, no cone. This place is quite a drive to get to, however it's... More

There were no tours going on when we arrived but we did try a variety of different cheese. We have never had cheese made from goat's milk before and were very impressed. We bought some feta and chevry provence and we weren't disappointed. The gelato is a little more expensive then the average gelato, but it was some of the... More

Made the long drive out with our two young kids to purchase some goat cheese. When we arrived there was a group of people sampling the cheeses at the counter. We decided to have a look at the goats and wander outside to wait for the group inside to clear out. After about 15-20 minutes I went back inside to... More

When we mentioned we were travelling to Kelowna for the August long weekend, several of our friends insisted that we visit Carmelis. We were not disappointed! The cheese tasting is a great value - you can try over 10 different (delicious!) cheeses for $2 per person, or FREE with cheese purchase (and once you try the cheeses, you'll definitely want... A short drive from Kelowna. It was interesting to see the goats - there were no tours offered while we were out there. We sampled some cheeses (and bought some) and had gelato. I see that they are expanding, which would definitely add to the experience. It would be nice to have some tables and chairs outdoors in the shade... More

A long way for kids to go just to see goats. If they catch wind of ice cream for sale, your wallet better be full, it's over priced. The cheese is good but again, a bit pricey for small quantities.

We go at least once a year on summer holidays. Tour is good but book ahead. They have panninis if you're hungry. Goat gelato is fabulous. Specialty cheeses are the main feature tho. A great variety of 100% goats milk cheese. A good combination with the wineries on lakeshore road.

Wended our way up the road to this out-of-the-way goat cheese factory (they will be relocating, by the way, according to their signs), as we had remembered how delicious the cheese here is from a prior visit. We were equally delighted with the samplings we had during this visit, and purchased a number of their offerings. I found the person... More

There were no tours available when we went, so we sampled the available cheeses! They were very nice! $2 to taste cheese, fee waived with purchase. Their gelato was amazing!!
