Combine in-water "playgrounds" for kids with picnic friendly (sometimes dog friendly) beaches far and near from Kelowna city center and Lake Okanagan is sure to please! We spent four days on four different beaches - each offered something different and our 7-year-old was in swimming heaven! These clear waters and clean beaches are a great way to spend a summer... We bought a tube for our seadoo and went on the Okanagan. Had a blast and will definitely do this again. I had sore muscles after my visit because we tubed everyday for a week. One word of advice though, don't tube when its wavy OUCH!

Scenery... Fabulous! Penticton is a small lakeside resort at the South end of the lake. It has a beach, café bars and a great adventure park for the kids. (Not too expensive.) There are other beaches around Kelowna and the delightful City Park. This has a splendid inflatable amusement area in water that's too deep for little kids, but for... More

I love coming to Lake Okanagan! It's a beautiful view and it is so much fun to swim around! They added extra things to do on the water like floaty water playgrounds. Super nice!

It's a crowded lake in the summer with all the boaters, it gets very warm in the late summer months, you can boat to Vernon or Penticton from Kelowna or vice versa. Most of the beaches are very nice and sandy, lots of cool hidden coves with picnic areas and some with facilities. Perfect lake for using a jet ski,... More
