The beaches are great and full of activity. The water was warm and the views were amazing. You can stay at the beach all day and into the evening as the sun is high and the weather is still hot. Lots of boats on the water but also lots of swimming areas.

I grew up in the Okanagan and return here often - the swimming aspect of this lake has been the same for the past 40 years - clean and mostly clear water. There is a bit of sea weed in spots but nothing nasty and no swimmers itch. There are some sandy beaches but mostly rocky. I have noticed over... More

It is a beautiful lake -- the bottom is nice, the water is clear and the beaches were great! We went to 3 different beaches (Gyro, City Beach and Peachland) and swam, rented stand up paddle boards and relaxed -- it is a wonderful lake!

The lake is a great refresher in the summer (duh!) and other than limited parking there is a lot to do in the park if you have kids or adults who just want to stroll along the water.

We have been travelling to the Okanagan for many years now in the summer. The biggest attraction for me is the lake. I am an avid swimmer and find this lake to be one of the nicest open water swims. Our kids love it too. There is plenty room for boats, paddle boards, kayaks etc. to accommodate most water sports... More

There are many lovely waterside parks to visit and spend time on a sandy beach by the water or sit on the grass under a shady tree, and watch the lake view. Lovely clear cool water to swim in. gyro beach is great for kids, as the water is shallow and sandy.

Even though we were in Kelowna for a short stay we cruised lake front in Kelowna, again marveling at the view(s) and tranquility of some chosen places away from the tourist hustle. In previous visits we went to "Hot Sands Beach" (no time this trip)at the park by the bridge - - - Bikini judging on hot days is great... More

We had family in from Calgary, AB and took them down to City Park along the Lake. It was sunny and warm and the Relay For Life was going on so we listened to the bands and cheered on the participants and donated. Then we went for a long walk along the lake and watched the boats and just enjoyed... More

Wherever you turn there is a vista. Water, mountains, hillside vineyards. It is like paradise with an ever changing landscape as the sky changes against the mountain.
