The lake is so beautiful summer or winter. The water is choppy in the summer so you have to find a little cove or drive out pretty far from downtown Kelowna to sit in your boat. lots of beautiful beaches, although lots of private property…..

Everytime I come to Kelowna, I made a special day trip and just hang out on the Okanagan. It's never a disappointment.

This lake has it all. It's right in the heart of downtown Kelowna (and Penticton and Vernon as well) so you don't need to spend hours driving there from wherever you are staying. It is a VERY deep lake at 232 meter maximum depth (over 750 feet!), yet many of the beaches such as Gyro offer very shallow waters near... More

Have been in the lake countless times in different spots along length of entire lake. There is no spot that's not beautiful....any time of the year, but summer is incomparable. If you ride then its perfect. We ride from April till November, no complaints. Another stunning lake " of many colors " is Kalamalka Lake out past Kelowna airport, on... More

I am fortunate to live near Lake Okanagan. This stunning lake spans about 68 miles from north, Vernon area, to the south, Penticton area. Kelowna sits just about midway. This lake is welcoming and refreshing during the hot summer months. It also boasts our own lake creature called OGOPOGO. I have yet to see it. There is a great board... More

I have to say this is breathtaking. I had no idea that this glacier lake extended over 100 km's long and the mountains bridging both sides is such a beautiful view and experience. We travelled in November so didn't take advantage of lake activities but from what we see it must be incredible. Parasailing, boating, fishing etc must be an array... More

This is a warm lake in the summer, sandy beaches, great board walk along the water in Kelowna. There are boat cruises available.
