Scenic, warm in the Summer, large enough to get away from the city buzz of Kelowna, and we hold 5 super fun sailing regattas from Vernon to Penticton. bring a boat or show up at a yacht club on race night! great way to meet the locals and have a blast out racing on the lake.

Beautiful sandy beach. The city grooms it every morning in the summer. Promonade was just re-done this winter(2013), and it turned out very nice. Very popular walking spot year round. Water is nice and warm in the summer, and very clean. A must when visiting Penticton.

The views of Lake Okanagan are breathtaking in any weather. Most of its 100 kilometre length can be followed on paved roads, or enjoyed by watercraft, or for swimming and summer water sports. The lake boasts a bounty of parks and beaches, wildlife, trails and lookouts for everyone to experience it's many splendours. The lake is surrounded by wineries farms... More

One of the most beautiful lakes in BC and likely anywhere. Lots of parks to choose from including day use and overnight. Due to the broad range of climate zones even within short distances there is vastly different scenery and it has spectacular views everywhere. Lots of water sports to choose from including houseboating and paddleboarding. Come experience it! Many... More

Okanagan Lake is 80 miles long with 3 cities and many smaller towns to visit along it's banks. There are many campsites, picnic areas, attractions for both adults and kids. Lets face it there's nothing better on a beautiful day than messing about on the water. Kelowna is the largest city and it centrally placed. If you look for City... More

I moved here precisely because this lake affords a kind of experience that is hard to find elsewhere. You can find everything from quiet shorelines with deer drinking to rowdy beaches with young adults drinking beer. You can row, kayak, snooze, float, dive, ski, sail, skate, eat, drink, walk, people watch--and for the most part, the water is clear and... More

The lake is great in summer Gyro beach is the most popular so it does get busy the only real negative is parking. Kelowna has very little parking anywhere and this is also true of the beaches. There is beach volley ball and soccer pitch. Bring your picnic and join in its lots of fun.

At approximately 80 miles long OK Lake is one of the best and most scenic places for water sports in British Columbia. It is the ''playground'' in Western Canada for holidayers and those just wanting to enjoy the sun.

Arrived here with my family when touring Western Canada. Even though it was summer many of the places we visited were still quite cool so it was great to discover this beautiful lake with a ver pleasant climate and lots going on in the area.

We have been out on the lake on a boat, enjoying the water for swimming and just relaxing. If you do not have a moor-age it might be hard to get your boat in. But there are many beaches, too.
