I stand on my baloney and I see this lake every day. 365 days a yr it's beautiful. Not a fall/winter lake to play on, however summer it transforms into a holiday gateway to sun, fun, relaxation, and long summer days of tanning. 6 cities and towns grace it's shores, so being on the lake in a boat would be... The Okanagan lake is an amazing place to be during summer. There are several activities to do, like fishing, sailing and waterskiing. It's also a good option for a walk, since the view is beautiful.

In the spring and summer, this place is abuzz with all sorts of different events and activities from paddle boards, kids on water park, sea-dos, float planes, motor & paddle boats, swimmers, water skiers, houseboats, etc. In the fall and winter, there are fishing derbys, float planes, houseboats, etc. Truly a four season's playground.

It was fun to walk down to the waterfront and see the huge white sculpture on the lake front. We walked around the park where other families were out and about and had our photos taken with the green "Ogopogo" statue - their version of the Loch Ness Monster! Fun.

The lake is so beautiful summer or winter. The water is choppy in the summer so you have to find a little cove or drive out pretty far from downtown Kelowna to sit in your boat. lots of beautiful beaches, although lots of private property…..

Everytime I come to Kelowna, I made a special day trip and just hang out on the Okanagan. It's never a disappointment.

This lake has it all. It's right in the heart of downtown Kelowna (and Penticton and Vernon as well) so you don't need to spend hours driving there from wherever you are staying. It is a VERY deep lake at 232 meter maximum depth (over 750 feet!), yet many of the beaches such as Gyro offer very shallow waters near... More

Have been in the lake countless times in different spots along length of entire lake. There is no spot that's not beautiful....any time of the year, but summer is incomparable. If you ride then its perfect. We ride from April till November, no complaints. Another stunning lake " of many colors " is Kalamalka Lake out past Kelowna airport, on... More
