Something to do in Kelowna if the weather isn't great. Has some interesting displays from early Okenagan (not surprising for a museum I suppose)

I am small museum worker in Kitchener, Ontario. I understand how difficult it is to run a museum with a very limited budget, and was not expecting much when I initially entered. Boy, was I mistaken. What a beautiful museum. There was so much to see and engage in. On the upper floor, you can meet many stuffed animals that... More

This gives a great in-sight into the area. why. when and how it was settled. It gives an idea why the area has become so popular for tourists.

They do a good job of displaying the items in their collection. Gives a good insight into early history of the local area.

This is a small but beautifully presented and very interesting museum. The girl at the desk was extremely helpful in telling us how to find a post office. There is no cost to visit the museum, but a donation is greatly appreciated.

We went for a class field trip and the presentation captivated an audience of grade 1/2s as well as the teachers and parents. The museum is FREE of charge and I was impressed by the presentation of materials and the guest experience.

So glad I visited, the Heritage Museum truly gave me insight into local history and that of the Pacific North, a region that is dear to me! Small in scale but full of information and displays! Very helpful staff as well!

Although this museum looks small from the outside, the exhibits and contents are very impressive. The history of the Okanagan area was well done especially with the history of some of the families. There are two floors of displays. We took tons of photos. The facility has well designed washrooms, wheelchair access and much more. There is no entrance fee... More
