We love Riverside Park. It is an amazing addition to a city in a desert type of climate. It has walking trails, tennis courts, lots of green grass, a rose garden, etc.etc. It is the venue for the July 1st celebrations annually, and a joy to attend walking among trees, with the river view as well. It was a big... More

This is usually a nice place to go during the day. However, I wouldn't venture there in the evening or at night as it then becomes a breeding ground for the natives and prostitutes and drug addicts.

Riverside Park has plenty of nooks and crannies, benches and art installations to keep you interested as you stroll along the river. Joggers, dog walkers, cyclists, locals and tourists use this place as a scenic getaway, hidden just a short walk from the downtown centre. Take time to admire the Red Bridge further down or explore other cultural curiosities like... More

Went for a short walk after lunch downtown. Pretty little park right across the tracks from downtown. Beach would be nice in the summer, but even in the snow there are nice, short paths through the park and to a lovely pier overlooking the river. Definitely worth checking out if downtown.

The walking path along the river gave a wonderful view even in winter. Just be sure to bundle up and wear good walking shoes. We started at the arena and ended up over on the north shore. Lovely even in the snow. The breeze is cool off the water at this time of year but Canada geese and ducks paddle... More

Over the last 30 years I have enjoyed Riverside Park many times with family and friends. It's a pleasure to wander through the park in all seasons and in particular on hot summer days when the water park is in full use.

Enjoy the downtown, get a lunch or supper to go, and head the couple of blocks to the park to find a picnic table to enjoy the scenery. Kids playground and river beach area, Japanese garden, extensive walking path, restrooms, fishing pier and lighted tennis courts. Specific to summer, you will find a lovely rose garden, concession stand, and water... More

A nice little park to have a walk and a pick nick. Because of a Chinese lantarn exposition we could do the hole park. For the children a bit boring.
