A well maintained trail featuring scenic and rustic beauty. The trail meanders along the North and South Thompson Rivers in Kamloops, BC. Great variety of interesting bird life, adorable marmots and watch for bears across the river in fall! Good exercise and suitable for walking, running, biking, roller blading. Even the senior folk use their walkers for fresh air and little... More

This beautiful river trail is paved, so perfect for strollers and wheelchairs. It meanders along the river, through Riverside Park and out towards the Heritage Train Station. You pass areas that are open to the riveer and others that have trees on the riverbank, so a nice variety.. Ideal for kids learning to ride a bike as there are no... More

Spring is here. Lots to see on the river's trail. I look for positive nature experiences. My husband & I have two new art pieces we have seen this year. So nice to see instead of destruction. See if you can find them.Lots of animals waking up too.

It's an awesome walk with beautiful scenery with a ton to see. I just wish the people with their dogs would pick up after them as the amount of poop that is laying around is a bit extreme. I would have enjoyed the trail more if I wasn't constantly looking out for little road apples and should have been looking... More

I didn't know what to expect of Kamloops as I previously had only visited the coastal areas of BC and had not ventured far into the mountains. It doesn't seem like a city of over 86k but is more like a pocket of civilization. The view as you come into the city is incredible and the scenery as you walk... More

You can't beat the views anywhere along the Rivers Trail, it can be the most relaxing and rewarding ride/walk anywhere in Kamloops. I have walked most of it & rode my bike around all of it, how refreshing. Take your time & enjoy everything this trail and the city has to offer.

Head out North or go West. Rivers trail is a well marked route for cycling or walking that tours along the river and through nice neighborhoods.

We enjoyed our walk along the river on this trail which had easy access from downtown. The views were nice and we felt safe.

Lovely walk along the river, just what was needed after a day on the Rocky Mountaineer. Thoroughly recommended for a late afternoon early evening stroll.

This park I find really highlights what makes Kamloops so beautiful. The trail is well kept and hugs close to the River and make sure to check out the Rose garden. I wasn't here during the summer festivals, however there was still some beautiful roses left to take pictures of. My only recommendation is that some of the exhibits throughout... More
