The Dawson City Museum is a wonderful place to find out about the turn of the century lifestyle in and around Dawson City. Many artifacts have been returned by relatives of the original gold seekers and the many photos depict the real Klondike Miners and the lifestyle of all who lived here in the late 1800's. Take time to enjoy... More

As museums go, this one is very good. Of course, the Yukon and gold rush(es) have a lot of history. I particularly enjoyed the trains. Worth the tine and money.

The museum was interesting, more than I expected for such a small town. I wish they had more focus on Aboriginal history but the gold mining era offers a lot too. The staff were quirky in a good way, much like the town. Worth the price of admission.

Very interesting. So many artifacts to see. Close to hotel, even in showers. Short walk on 5th street from hotel. Very friendly staff even though it was near closing time.

Dawson City was a really fun place to visit, the museum was interesting but the best thing was Gerties Gambling Hall and Saloon. The Casino is non profit with all prceeds going to the city and schools. The entertainment was a lot o fun. Also the Klondike paddle wheel boat ride was very scenic.

I really like the exhibits, and it is a lovely old building. The two workers or docents we experienced were very helpful and wanted to make sure we got the most out of our visit.

Staff very helpful, enjoyed talking to them. We did a guided town talk which was interesting - had to drop out early before the end as we were so tired but well worth doing.

Very nice place if you want to learn about some history in the area. Cost was $7 for seniors. Had a young man who went thru the demo on the shaker machine for Gold, was quite interesting is you have not seen it.

Wonderul museum in a beautiful building. Not enormous, an hour is enough to get round. Reasonably priced at $9 per adult. Very interesting locomotive exhibition in the train shed next door detailing the history of the engines during the gold rush, this included a guided tour. Recommended.
