Situated in the south east corner of British Columbia, 1 1/2 hours north of Nelson. Since 1975, the Drurys and their staff at Selkirk Wilderness Skiing have developed a loyal following amongst deep powder skiers and snowboarders looking for an alternative to both lift-serviced and helicopter skiing and riding. « less

This place has so much terrain. The people who work there are over the top friendly. I am very impressed with the operation. Their focus on safety was very professional.

I've been going to SWS for 19 years, so I must be satisfied. The skiing conditions have usually been great, lodge clean and comfortable, staff friendly and many have been there for years which makes it a family like atmosphere. Many of the same skiers return on the same week each year so while I came alone I knew 18... More

No place like this for cat skiing. Its: the mountain, the lodge staff, the PRO guides and the family culture that set this place apart. You meet your "family" there one week a year and catch up while skiing the greatest snow on earth.

Just got back from 5 days of skiing at Selkirk Wilderness. Even though they are in the midst of a snow drought, the experience was exceptional. The fabulous guides consistently found us fresh, untracked lines to ski in great terain. The staff is absolutely wonderful, anticipating every need. This was my first experience cat skiing and it exceeded my expectations.... More

Some of the best skiing of my life! We didn't have to think about anything once we arrived, everything was totally dialled/organized…smooth running operation. Delicious food and the lodge has excellent amenities. Staff are true professionals and create a family atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

What a kick bum place!!! I am so glad I had the opportunity to travel with these guys. Safety first and willing to do anything for their customers. Especially after dinner. Great small bar incredible food and powder on top of powder. I will be back for sure if they have room. This is a must do trip for anyone... More

Selkirk isn't just a lodge and cat skiing operation, it is a home away from home. There are so many personal touches that show how much they really care about their guests, from taking excellent care of your gear on the ride up, to loading and unloading your skis for you, finding you random things you forgot or sending you... my first time at selkirk this year - the price tag for me was huge but was worth it. amazing deep powder snow - the best catskiing terrain around: alpine bowls, chutes, glades, pillows. The staff and setup at selkirk also set it apart: staff, lodge, food all exeptional.

I have skied in several ski cat operations and Selkirk is my favorite. The skiing is awesome but one can find great skiing at other locations as well. What I have not found any place else is where the customer experience is as warm or welcoming. Every year I go back at least 75% of the guests are retuning from... More
