The Sea to Sky Highway goes through some of the most beautiful country in North America. It's fairly easy driving because it rises gradually and there are no scary cutbacks., at least not on the portion to Whistler. I didn't encounter fog, which makes it superior to the Big Sur, where fog is almost a given. Well maintained.

We wanted to get out of Vancouver for the day, rented a car and drove up to Whistler, stopping along the way to check out the sites. Alice lake, Shannon falls and sea to sky gondola were breathtaking. Was a little disappointed when we arrived at Whistler and the gondolas were closed the day prior to arriving would have loved... We drove from Vancouver to Whistler through Squamish. With the mountains and ocean flanking the route for the best part, it's one of the most scenic drives that I have traveled on. The drive itself is worth it and what unfolds in Whistler is breathtaking.

We have been driving from Vancouver to Whistler for more than forty years and the changes to the road in that time are unlistable. What was little more than a gravel logging road is now mostly a dual lane highway. If anything the vistas of Howe Sound and Coast Range are improved along with the roadway and you find that... More

A pleasant enough drive, but a lot of the view is behind trees and you have to stop and get out to really see the waterfalls and river. I was expecting more. I have had better more spectacular drives.

Wonderful scenery on this drive, through glaciated valleys. Views of the water of the inlet most all the way to Squamish, with forested mountains across the way. North of Squamish, the views change to that of gorges cut through the valleys, all the way to Lilloet, where the Fraser river flows south through Hell's Gate, a major tourist attraction. The... This is a very scenic ride, if you come from Vancouver then its very astonishing till Pemberton more or less... From Lollooet to 70 mile house isn't that green anymore. If you like lots of trees and waterfalls and stuff like that, then its excellent till Lillooet, if you like whatever mother nature throws at you, then drive to 70... More

As you're headed north from Vancouver, the road follows the coast line of Howe Sound to Squamish and then heads up into the mountains... On a clear and sunny day it does feel like reaching for the (blue) sky. Since the widening of Hwy 99 prior to the Winter Olympics 2010, the Sea-to-Sky Highway has lost some of its appeal.... More

Excellent facilities. Very efficient & nice staff. The gondola ride offered a superb view capped of by stunning scenery at the top. Add to that suspension bridge walks and a fine coffee stop at the top.
