This is the most gorgeous drive I have ever experienced. Absolutely nothing compares! During our last trip to Vancouver, we decided at the last minute to drive up to Whistler and see this route. So very glad we did!! We haven't stopped talking about it. And we're now planning our return trip directly to Vancouver and up to Whistler. This... More

We are from NZ but lived in Alberta for 4 years and when we recently visited Vancouver again we did this drive as it was the closest we could get to feeling we were back in the Rockies again. It is a lovely lovely drive and make sure to stop at Galileo for a coffee and a great scone on... More

Driving from Richmond to Whistler was not as difficult as expected because the highway roads were clean and wide. We started at 7am and reached Whislter at around 2 pm. We stopped at Horseshoe Bay, Shannon Falls, Alice Lake and finally beautiful Brandywine Falls. The stunning and breathtaking scenic views were unforgettable and enjoyable. An unexpected travel before reaching the... More

We've made this drive on daylight and at sunset. Both times it was breathtaking, but driving this highway as the sun is going down is unlike anything else I've seen from the car before, and that includes two cross country trips. An absolute must, and make it at sunset if you can!

Not an easy drive , but worth it. The views are awesome and if you drive down to Lilliooet it's even better. We enjoyed the descend better, because there was hardly any traffic. Well worth the slow drive.

This is one of the most gorgeous drives I've taken. It was amazing to see both mountains and shoreline simultaneously. Also, it seemed like each turn had a different, scenic view. There are also provincial parks along the highway that you can stop (and hike) at. Definitely a must-do if you are in the Vancouver area!

The drive along the Sea-to-Sky highway offers some unique and impressive vistas. The road can be challenging at times; so, two or more drivers are highly recommended. One drives, the other(s) look. There are more opportunities to make stops on the way South from Squamish; left turns on the way North to get closer to the water are illegal, and... More

I love driving down winding roads that are not boring and this road has lots of that. The view, is amazing, such a scenic drive, lots of areas to stop and hike and just enjoy from waterfalls, to forests to shoreline. Worth the detour from driving straight on Highway 1 to Vancouver

I love going on the Sea to Sky HIghway when ever I get the chance. Since they've improved it for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the highway feels better. You encounter a lot of beautiful scenery. Only thing that I dislike are the crazy drivers who go way over the speed limit. 10 to 15 km/h above the speed llimit is... More

This was the first time we have travelled this highway since it was upgraded for the 2010 Olympics. It has been improved greatly and the views and scenery are wonderful. The highway makes a visit to Whistler or beyond a good experience.
