Spent a beautiful afternoon taking in some self guided walks along the many kilometers of trails. The Helen Schuler Nature Centre was a major highlight. They have permanent and traveling exhibits to enjoy while visiting the centre. Sofie the snake was a hit. They have a "living Roof" which was very interesting to learn about. While on the rof you... This is a really wonderful way to spend sometime with your kids. I think that little ones up to tweens and teens would enjoy it. There is a really well set up learning centre and then there are paths through the coulees. Because of the lack of people living in the area and it being a large nature reserve you... More

Self guided trails through a beautiful area only minutes from downtown. Great view of the High Level Bridge. Interactive exhibits make it a great place for children. Admission is by donation

If you are planning to visit the Nature centre, now is the time. The new centre is finally finished and has some wonderful exhibits of the nature and fauna of Southern Alberta. Check times they are open as they are on spring times until end of May.

The newly renovated (2014) Centre is an amazing site to experience. The great design and thought that went into this 21st. Century facility is remarkable, and worth a visit for itself. But the true experience comes from the natural setting in the river bottom here in Lethbridge. They offer a variety of nature interpretive programs, exhibits, and walking trails for... More

This is such an awesome place for a family to spend the day. You can explore the centre or ask for a backpack. The backpack usually has great things to do with the family like a nature scavenger hunt. There are so many trails and interesting exhibits that there is fun for all ages. Great place to go especially for... More

Residents and visitors of Lethbridge are lucky to have free access to such a wonderful facility! The sustainable design of the building is an attraction in and of itself; the living roof provides an excellent vantage point of the river valley forest, high level bridge, and the coulees (bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the patio). While some visitors... More
