The newly renovated (2014) Centre is an amazing site to experience. The great design and thought that went into this 21st. Century facility is remarkable, and worth a visit for itself. But the true experience comes from the natural setting in the river bottom here in Lethbridge. They offer a variety of nature interpretive programs, exhibits, and walking trails for... More

Residents and visitors of Lethbridge are lucky to have free access to such a wonderful facility! The sustainable design of the building is an attraction in and of itself; the living roof provides an excellent vantage point of the river valley forest, high level bridge, and the coulees (bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the patio). While some visitors... More

Not much there. Great place for presentation for children. The docent was very personable and excited about the place.

Located in the Oldman River valley, the Nature Centre is home to a 23 year old American Crow with a most interesting story. If you wish to pet a 7 foot snake (not poisonous!), and staff are nearby, this is the place. Staff are informative and friendly. Be sure to sit on the roof top and appreciate nature.

Not too much to see at the centre recently when I was there in early July there was a snake, a raven, and some lizard, I was hoping there was more to see.

Those of us that live in southern Alberta sometimes don't realize what we have right here. The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is one of the amazing charms of our region. The centre is located in the Old Man River bottom in the coulee and is easy to find. The new building is beautiful and overlooks the nature reserve towards the... More

It is a perfect place for young families, as the kids would enjoy the stories and explanations by the employees. You can pet the snake and say hi to the 23-year-old crow who was here since it was born. For the first time I saw the salamander which apparently is a quite common creature in Alberta. We also went into... More
