The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is an urban nature centre delivering diverse and dynamic nature interpretive programs in our community through a team of volunteers, staff and partners. Hours of Operation: Regular Hours (October to May)Tuesday - Sunday 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm Summer Hours (June to August)Daily 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Admission: Admission is free. Donations are greatly appreciated. Driving Directions: •at 3rd Avenue South and Scenic Drive South, turn west into the river valley •at the bottom of the hill turn right•follow the road and turn left after the Alberta & Baroness Picnic Shelters•the Nature Centre is currently in this temporary location while our main centre undergoes renovations until early 2014.

Fabulous experience

Great experience inside the nature centre, the exhibits were informative and the staff were very friendly. Next visit will be observing the trails outside. Can't wait !!

I've been here many times, and visited the old building but not the new one. The trails around the river valley are great and you can see many kinds of birds flying about. There are deer also, but are very elusive! You walk very close to the bridge trestles and once in awhile you can catch a train going across... More

had chance to visit the new building today, first time i have been there since it was upgraded. they did a really good job on the building and im sure most people dont even know the place is down in the coulees. The information is pretty basic, probably not a lot of information that most people do not already know... More

This was a very interesting place and the people there were very friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of paths for hiking: some challenging and some paved pathways for easy walking.

Very interesting and educational stop for adults and children. Ready access to bike paths so your visit can be readily included with your bike outings.

My husband and I happened upon the Nature Center completely accidentally when we went to check out the High Level Bridge with our kids. The building is new looking and the staff was super friendly and informative. They engaged our girls immediately and got them excited to check out the butterfly exhibit. My boyfriend and I walked the path from highway three not expecting to find this place. Was a nice surprise. Informative place with fantastic views and setting upstairs.

This nature centre is a beauty. Great building and staff. Check out the living roof for sure. Great that it is by donation. Amazing location.

Great little interpretive center tucked away here. Good resource materials and information. Take a self guided nature walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Here is a location to stop by for sure. To relax on a sunny day as you wander about enjoying the gifts of nature. This is about family oriented place to visit.
