Along with their permanent exhibits, they have seasonal and or visiting exhibits; usually changing those up 3 times a year. But while those are in place they run specific themed program for young and old, following the topic of the main exhibits. and throughout the year they also have regular special events. The staff and volunteers there are aWEsoME!. such... More

I totally had a blast when they had the dinosaur exhibit here. Great place to explore and learn about history. I loved that we could get in there with chisels and play around in the sand being explorers.

This is rather small, I guess I expected more. What they had well represented the area. I would think that the displays would be more the focal point instead of the gift shoppe area.

While a small museum, the exhibits are displayed very creatively, and we spent a lovely morning at this museum. If it had been warmer, we would have taken the walk out of the museum and explored the paths leading away from it and the markers along the path. Great activities for kids, and there's a floor version of snakes and... More

A pretty boring place. This is probably a pretty big waste of tax payers money to fund all these people who run a museum which displays items that you might find laying around my grandmothers house. Most stuff there isnt even 100 years old, thats not so much a museum when the displays look just like a crappy garagesale.

This little shop is perfect for visitors to our great city. The museum really strives to keep its showings pertinent and enjoyable. As far as history goes the Galt is a worthwhile endevour. Great small wedding venue or business cocktail occasion.

This small museum has a wonderful collection of items detailing the growth and history of Southern Alberta. Price is fair. Great place to visit.

The museum is located on the edge of the ravine and is a beautiful mix of old and new encompassing an old hospital which has been added to. We liked the exhibits and thought it was set up well. My only complaint would be there were more in the archives than what was on display. As such it did not... More

Lots to see and enjoy in history of the area. I would think it was very hands on learning for children as there was lots of displays, videos etc. to do. I will go back as I would like to enjoy more things that I may have skimmed over due to time restraint. Lovely gift shop and helpful staff. Awesome... More
