Lots to see and enjoy in history of the area. I would think it was very hands on learning for children as there was lots of displays, videos etc. to do. I will go back as I would like to enjoy more things that I may have skimmed over due to time restraint. Lovely gift shop and helpful staff. Awesome... More

the Galt Museum is a very interesting place to visit that keeps changing the displays so you really can't go there too often. The building itself has a lot of history and one needs to have TIME to check it all o ut.

All tho the size of the place is not large by museum standards it is one of great style collection of history on a local basis. The exhibits are great with excellent information. There are rumored to be ghosts of children as well as others. A great place to see with parking next to the building.

Excellent museum in an amazing new building attacked to a renovated former hospital overlooking the spectacular river valley. Exhibits and pieces presented well and explain the peoples and communities of Lethbridge and some nearby. Very interesting programs are scheduled. Good gift store with some thing for all ages and many interests.

This museum is quite nice but quite small. It is a lot smaller then one would hope and your done exploring well before you know it. The museum does have a great view of the valley and fort whoop up. The museum is built in and an expansion of the historic Galt Hospital, I was hoping that the museum would... More

Here Lethbridge tries to put it's relatively short past into context while overlooking a really splendid view of the dramatic coulee below and the dramatic brutalist architecture of the University of Lethbridge opposite reminding the visitor of how new it all really is. Well done within obvious limits. For those interested in the city's recent growth, I recommend a wander... More

I have often wondered how a city as culturally deprived as Lethbridge could have such an excellent museum. Not only are the permanent exhibits and the gift shop excellent as previous reviewers have indicated, but the visiting exhibits are truly remarkable too. The museum also hosts lectures throughout the year on all manner of subjects and provides archives for scholars... More

Located on a bluff overlooking the coulees and West Lethbridge and Housed in the original Galt Hospital, the floor to ceiling glass enclosure provides stunning views. There is a nominal fee for enjoying the rotating exhibits, no fee for the gift shop and the view. The gift shop is a treasure trove of local arts and crafts, and my favourite... More

Visited here not long after I moved and was a great place. Learnt a lot about the local history and also lots of artefacts on hand to see how life was back in the day.

This Museum and Archives is housed in a former hospital. A new addition gives the atrium some spectacular views of the coulees and of the University of Lethbridge on the other side of the Oldman River. The one main gallery is a relatively small part of the building. That said, there are some excellent displays from time to time. Check... More
