If your kids can't sit still unless they are blowing things up on an Xbox, the Galt may not be for you. However, they do have interesting exhibits (both permanent and temporary). Their Saturday afternoon program for kids is really great. Usually some very interesting art/crafts projects connected to a theme for the day. Haven't been for a while, but... More

There is a lovely view across the river valley from the museum from the reception area in which the entire west well is glass. More

For a town with fewer than 90,000 inhabitants, the Galt is a worthy institution. The permanent collection provides a good introduction to southern Alberta. The temporary exhibitions vary in size and scope, but all are worth a visit. More

The newness of this museum is attractive and the space for receptions with the huge windows overlooking the scenic valley is very lovely. The displays held little of substantial interest for our group but the gift shop had a nice variety of items to enjoy for possible purchase. This museum is worth a short visit when Lethbridge is where you... More

The Galt Museum does an excellent job. We have been several times and have always come away feeling like it was worth the trip. They do some great evening sessions. Be sure to check out the view while you are there. More

If you can 'feel' history, you can in this building. Ask about the ghosts. Lovely view out back of the High Level Bridge, coulees, and sunsets. Great venue for a wedding reception. Could easily spend the whole day there. Wonderful selection of books in the gift store. Take in a cemetery tour with Belinda Crowson (more fun than you think... More

The Galt is one of my favourite museums! Local history is always most interesting to me! One of my favourite things is they have temporary exhibits up that make almost each trip new and inetresting. I also was able to go and pick up on some research in the archives and had a wonderful time! The archive staff were amazingly... More
