I have often wondered how a city as culturally deprived as Lethbridge could have such an excellent museum. Not only are the permanent exhibits and the gift shop excellent as previous reviewers have indicated, but the visiting exhibits are truly remarkable too. The museum also hosts lectures throughout the year on all manner of subjects and provides archives for scholars... More

Located on a bluff overlooking the coulees and West Lethbridge and Housed in the original Galt Hospital, the floor to ceiling glass enclosure provides stunning views. There is a nominal fee for enjoying the rotating exhibits, no fee for the gift shop and the view. The gift shop is a treasure trove of local arts and crafts, and my favourite... More

Visited here not long after I moved and was a great place. Learnt a lot about the local history and also lots of artefacts on hand to see how life was back in the day.

This Museum and Archives is housed in a former hospital. A new addition gives the atrium some spectacular views of the coulees and of the University of Lethbridge on the other side of the Oldman River. The one main gallery is a relatively small part of the building. That said, there are some excellent displays from time to time. Check... More

very interesting thematic displays from time to time... There is a good gift shop at the museum. Archives are located in the basement and accessible to people who would like to do research of a particular aspect of the community in the past....

My 2 year old loves this place! We visit frequently and she never gets tired of it. The special events are well-organized and engaging. Great place for a family visit.

Though small, there are lots of interesting things to see. Very engaging activities for children on special days. The view of the coulees is fantastic. I love the gift shop! Be sure to ask about the resident ghosts.

I like the general layout & design of this former 1st hospital in Lethbridge. I am disappointed that they have rudely ignored "THE MOST IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION MODE, THE MOTORCOACH INDUSTRY", Specifically the former "LETHBRIDGE NORTHERN BUS LINES"(now Kotch's Exotic International Travel & Tours", founded in 1927. Our family provided far more significant service to the pioneer farmers, ranchers, & towns... More

Although the exhibit was a little smaller than I hoped, there was probably enough there to keep busy for awhile. I think children would enjoy it as there are a lot of things that are geared to them.
