I just attended the Galt Museum and loved it. I had visited before for a wedding and reception which is an excellent destination because the large windows look out to a scenic coulee and sunset. The museum aspect itself could probably use a larger budget. You'll see old military and RCMP uniforms along with Pilsner beer history and a lot... More

It was quite a shock to revisit my place of birth and learn that it's now a museum. But it's in a beautiful location, overlooking the river valley. The building is a combination of old and new with a gift shop, gallery, and eating area with large windows overlooking the vista. My four sisters and I were feeling very nostalgic... More

A beautiful modern building that was recently added on to. Interesting art work by children and adults. History of the Galt museum. Roof top garden which we found to be very interesting. Gift shop is interesting and well stocked. Probably the best view of the tallest train bridge still in use in Canada.

Galt Museum is a very beautiful facility with a great gift shop, and showcases some unique Lethbridge history. The permanent displays are interesting, but can be moved through very quickly. I would have given an average rating, but the staff is fantastic and accommodating to young kids. My four year old was given a scavenger hunt and really enojyed searching... More

What a wonderful Museum. It was definitely a great place to spend a rainy afternoon - not only is it well done, it is kid friendly with lots of interactive activities for the younger children. A great place for young and old. Thank you Galt Museum.

They have a nice gift shop. Some events are good that they put on - check website to get info. Programs are of interest to different ages.

This is a small museum with some great displays on the local history. Southern Alberta is full of history and the Galt changes the displays and programs they have running throughout the year. Most of the displays are interactive. Summer months runs programs for the kids to participate in.

Along with their permanent exhibits, they have seasonal and or visiting exhibits; usually changing those up 3 times a year. But while those are in place they run specific themed program for young and old, following the topic of the main exhibits. and throughout the year they also have regular special events. The staff and volunteers there are aWEsoME!. such... More

I totally had a blast when they had the dinosaur exhibit here. Great place to explore and learn about history. I loved that we could get in there with chisels and play around in the sand being explorers.

This is rather small, I guess I expected more. What they had well represented the area. I would think that the displays would be more the focal point instead of the gift shoppe area.
