My fiance and I visited Jasper over the past Summer and we were advised that the Maligne Lake Cruise is one of the larger attraction with Jasper National Park. Well that is an understatement. I LOVED THIS CRUISE! The drive up to Maligne Lake was breathtaking. You can take an excursion to Maligne Canyon and Medicine Lake on your way... more

An excellent excursion. Beautiful scenery. The guide was knowledgeable, courteous and humourous and answered all questions. The stop at Spirit Island lasted long enough. more

I travelled to Jasper in mid-September, inspired in part by the fact I have lived four hours away my entire life and had never seen Maligne Lake. For Canadians, the lake and its Spirit Island are iconic images of the Rocky Mountains. Well, the trip was breathtaking. Our boat glided along the brilliant aqua-marine blue glacier water at a pleasant... more

Takes an hour to get to the lake from Jasper. Then you're 'hearded' onto a boat, then your on the lake for an hour before stopping for a 20 minute photo stop at Spirite Island - really beautiful. Then you obviously have to do it all in reverse. Question is was the 20 mins worth it - just about, although... more

The claimed "best cruise" is definitely overstated, and a false claim! The lake is beautiful as all other lakes in the Banff-Jasper parks. The cruise is not impressive at all. Of several cruise trips we have been to, this is really so so. It might be even the worst. It can not compare with the river cruise in Chicago, or... more

We really enjoyed our boat ride, although we felt it was a little overpriced - especially considering how far from Jasper we had to drive to get there. Also, the stop near Spirit Island was a little too short for my likings; I'd have liked to have had more time. But still, this is on amazing spot and the guides... more

The Maligne Lake boat cruise is heavily advertised. However, the scenery on the cruise is no different than the beautiful scenery visible on any other lake in the Rockies. Moreover, the 10 minute stop on Spirit Island didn't offer anything additional. Save your time (one hour drive from Jasper each way) and money- almost $50 per person. We were very... more

1 1/2 hour boat ride was nice and very scenic. Like most attractions in Banff/Jasper it was expensive. more

If you've already seen Lake Louise, Morraine Lake, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, you may be disappointed in Maligne Lake. We were, especially since this lake is a bit out of the way - close to an hour drive from Jasper downtown. We didn't even do the boat tour as it was too expensive. We walked around the lake a bit.... more

The fee to take the cruise is $55 cad but you can not imagine what you will see. Once at the destination point of the cruise they call it the "Hall of Gods" and it truly is. To not go is to not see a piece of heaven! more
