I wrote a rather scathing review the last time I visited this place just over a year ago. In fact I thought I would never go back. However a friend convinced me that it was worth a second try. And she was correct. The food was much better this trip than my first visit, and so was the service. I... More

Stopped in this bar and grill for the advertised "Sunday night special" steak dinner. Service was very slow and totally without interest in our satisfaction. The food was poor quality at best. Tasteless steak lousy fries and the salad was gross. Stay away!!

Took a bike trip through the rockies and decided to stop in Jasper for a few days. The D'ed Dog became our home base and favorite spot. Friendly service, good food, great atmosphere and excellent location. We had a great time and who would think you'd run into someone working in Alberta who had also worked in Old San Juan!... More

Service was good. Unfortunately our food never showed up. We waited 90 mins. No apologies. And no offer to discount on our drinks. Would not go back.

Great place to stop in for a pint. Has your average pub food. Nice place to have a sit down and have a visit with a local or foreigner.

The De'd Dog's first impression isn't stellar. It's an aging pub, with kind of aging decor. It looks well-used. But they've updates with big screens, and there will always be a hockey or baseball or football or some other game on. The menu is simple pub fare, but the kitchen is actually pretty good. My favorite is the Root Romp... More

We ate at the D'ed Dog 2 evenings. We enjoyed their hamburger special one evening and the next we enjoyed the wings for my spouse and the tuna kahuna for me, which we shared with each other. Beer specials were good. Lots of locals dropping in here in a very touristy town.

The food is not terrible, but it may as well be. It certainly isn't good. It is exceptionally unexceptional. I imagine that everything comes off a food distributor truck. Almost nothing is homemade. The waiter was so uninterested in any of the food items I considered, and honestly replied, "it's okay," with a shrug of his shoulders, signifying that it... More

We called in for a night cap, great little bar with good atmosphere. I can't comment on food - I see this appears to have been an issue with previous submissions.
