If you're only planning one day hike in the Jasper area, I recommend Sulphur Skyline (near Miette Hot Springs). This one, though, ranks second on my list. Allow about 4 1/2 hours to do it justice. You'll want to do the full loop at the summit, and I'd recommend even going a bit farther (more details later). Trail starts with... More

Very nice hike, excellent views. The trail starts with about an hours walk on the fire road through the woods, but when you are above the tree line the views are spectacular to the lake and the surrounding mountains. We even met a group which encountered a grizzly on the trail only two hours before we passed. This made us... More

We do a fair amount of hiking around Canada and the US, and I had higher expectations for this hike. The road makes it fairly easy to go up and down. The views from the top are not spectacular, but you do get a very nice view of the lake and the mountains behind it. The "bald" hills that you... More

Well, this was one of our longest hikes. It is a good steady uphill hike up the road to the lookout. Stop as you are hiking and turn around to see the view, it was constantly changing and if we did not stop and turn around we would have missed them. Once at the top there was no sign to... More

Loved this hike. Hiked the old fire road up and took the shortcut through the trees down. Spectacular views around each turn! you must do this hike if you love the outdoors and views. Elevation gain is high but definitely worth it

This was quite the workout since we went all the way to the upper ridge which was over 2000' elevation gain. We should have done the fire road up and the shorter steeper path back down. Also a bit confusing at the top since there were so many paths - would not want to be up here in a cloud!... More

We took the fire road up and it was one of the most boring hikes we have ever done. The views from the top were worth the effort. Signage could be much better at the top. There is none and it is a problem. The map we had wasn't very good either.

This was fantastic. Quite a tough trail to hike and took 2 hours + to walk up. Some of the trail was closed due to an event which meant the route was steeper and more challenging. The end of the trail has stunning views and so glad we took the time to climb up - awesome! Coming down takes less... More

Really easy hike all the way to the top. Trail was wide and not too steep. The last section in up on a ridge, but nothing to be afraid about even if you have fear of heights. It very very rocky up there, but still wide enough so that you don't risk falling on either side at every step. The... More

We almost did not do this hike because of the varied reviews. The trek up the fire road is relatively easy technically although it is a good cardio workout. The best part is after you leave the fire road and keep going to the top of Bald Hill. My here was still some snow on the trail when we went... More
