Awesome sights on the drive from Jasper to Maligne lake. Very beautiful. It takes about 2 hours to go there and back. You might see an elk or two - but other wildlife sightings in winter are rare.

Definitely a great walk when up for something longer. Took us (not trained) 5-6 hrs, with the way up making up for most of the time. Tipp: when the way splits in 2 options, take the walk going the steeper but shorter way - simply as you already get to see amazing views! On the other one you just walk... More

I am ashamed to say I cannot remember the information about Bald Hills but the views were magnificent . The boat trip on Maligne Lake was excellent and the guide gave us loads of information. I am not sure if you can access the hills or view them apart from the boat trip .

My recommendation: start early and pack a picnic :) We did this precise thing and met almost nobody on our way to the top. Up and back down to the Maligne lake it took us 3-4 hours. From up there the view was spectacular and there is a great chance to meet a bear on the way so it's good... More

A stunning day out for us , fantastic views, mountains, lakes forests and we even saw a black bear walking across the road, a real bonus.it was sad to see the fire destruction but we were told all about how the forest regenerates itself , very interesting.

This was a great hike up from Maligne lake. Highlight was seeing a grizzly on the way down. Trail signage could have been better.

go early... beat the crowds, otherwise be prepared to walk a fair distance from where you will be parking to the view. breath taking view that is.

We referred to the "Don't Waste your time in the Rockies" guidebook to select a few dayhikes to do with our 11 and 12 year old girls. We started with a pic nic by Maligne Lake, then put everything back in the car and did the hike. The lake views were worth the climb, really pretty. Nice and open at... More

This is a great day hike, a bit steep but the surrounding views are worth it. One of the top hikes in Jasper area, make sure you take bug spray and hat as you will be mostly above tree line and without shade.
