We have skied at Marmot several times because we used to live in Edmonton. Was recently in Jasper and did not ski but noticed it was final day at Marmot and had some fond memories and figured I should review it at some point. This was the first place I ever skied in the Rockies and it is a great... More

Tucked away up above the friendly town of Jasper, Marmot Basin offers much and has a charm all of its own. Its not the biggest hill but has a fantastic variety, is rarely busy and can be great fun in all conditions. I have visited over 40 different resorts around the world but keep coming back to jasper from the... More

We spent a week in Jasper which included the bank holiday weekend and were surprised how quiet the town was. The skiing was good and there were a variety of graded runs to suit everyone. Plenty of snow too, I understand that Jasper was one of the lucky resorts that had plenty of snow this year whereas some resorts closed... More

great snow, minimal crowds and the one of the best mountains for snow all season. Late April skiing was one of the best I've had.

My husband and I just decided on Tuesday to leave for Jasper. What a great decision. The Marmot Basin was perfect - perfect snow conditions, no line ups, great service no matter what we asked for, reduced lift tickets and sun, sun, sun +17 every day. We have booked for next year already. We have skied several southern Alta ski... More

The mountains were great with fluffy, soft snow. However closer to the bottom of the mountain it became a bit icy. We quite enjoyed our experience skiing and snowboarding. The staff however could be more friendly. When renting and returning our equipment, we felt as if we were bothering the staff. There are lockers available for $7-8/day with re-entry all... More

Visited Marmot Basin in February with my school. Slopes suitable for all skill levels, instructors also for all levels, really friendly and supportive. Great atmosphere for learners, not too busy on the slopes. Lovely scenic area, pleanty of snow and no queueing barely for the ski lifts. Pleanty of food to choose from inside the main house. Slightly pricey but... More

Spring conditions can be dicey no matter what mountain you're on. But Jasper didn't let down this April. The snow conditions were amazing...in fact better than I've seen them some January and February's. The upper mountain was spectacular with fresh powder and amazing coverage (no rocks poking out). The lower mountain became a little icier as the day went on,... More

Because Jasper is a little further away from the major cities, it can take a bit of driving to get there. But it is so worth it given that it's just a little quieter than some of the more closely situated hills in Alberta. The runs are great and well groomed, and you feel like you have space around you.... More

My two children, ages 9 and 10, and I really enjoyed our time here. The rental process and ticket purchase were very easy and efficient. Granted, we skied mid-week near the tail end of the season, so it was less busy than other times. The staff could not have been nicer. Everyone had a smile and was so helpful. We... More
