After a some what lack lustre ski season, I was fortunate enough to hit Jasper just after 3 days of snow. The 22 cm was sufficient to ensure every run was open, albeit hiding the occasional rock. The mountain offers a good range of slopes for all levels of ability. The skiing is a 20 minute drive from Jasper village... more

This is a cracking place to go to. I learnt to ski here (instructors not bad, sunshine instructors more professional) and I had a brilliant time. We went in early April 2008. There was loads of snow, the weather was amazing and the slopes were so quiet! No crazy show offs flying past me meant I was able to potter... more

Marmot is an amazing hill! i have only snowboarded about 5 times, but i have been to Sunshine, Norquay and now Marmot. Marmot is by far my favorite. its huge with runs everywhere, and many of the runs are blues and greens which is awesome! There was tons of powder when we first arrived on the Saturday, by Sunday most... more

Marmot Basin is a great ski location for those who love friendly "real" people who are just out on the slopes to have some fun. You don't see a lot of "actors" at Marmot. They seem to head to Banff ski areas instead. That's fine by me. Lift lines are small (2 or 3 minute wait on a Saturday afternoon)... more

My Dad and I were at Marmot Basin Ski Area Last Febuary and Just About all the Runs were Open. The Senery when you get to the Top of the Paradise Chair or T bar Is amazing and very Beatuiful. The Senery going up the Knob Chair is Spactacular. But it is Mostley for Expert Skiers But there is one... more
