The conditions weren't great, but the resort can't be faulted for that. The terrain has a nice mix with some nice challenging areas. Not as big as other areas in the Rockies. Modern lift systems get you up quickly. I would like to return in better conditions to ski more of the stepper runs.

We skied Marmot over Christmas 2015 with a family of five - two teenagers and an eight year old who had never skied before. The little one did a full day of group lessons on the first day - group lessons in the morning, but because of chilly weather, nobody showed up for the afternoon so she was the only... More

Great skiing. Tried to feed the family at the Eagle Chalet Lodge. Lots of room, but not for us. "Sorry, you can't sit there. It's reserved for the boss who might be showing up today". Ok, so paying customers get the bum's rush "in case the boss shows up". Kinda weird. So, bring your own lunch and tail gate, I... More

I've been to Marmot a total of 5 times now. One thing I find particularly good about Marmot is the availability of green runs for beginners. I find the mountain to be more beginner friendly than some other mountains in Banff/Lake Louise area.

Hands down the best spot to lap and get in as many runs as possible in the Alberta Rockies. It's not busy like the Banff hills, there's never a line up for lifts and it has great on hill food/drinks! The runs are awesome, albeit a bit shorter than the Banff hills, but when you're running laps like you can... More

First time every skiing in the mountains. Picked Marmot Basin they had Jasper in January deals. Chair lift lines moved quick, Chalet had lots of lockers. Need of more stalls for bathroom as line up was decently long. Parking situation kind of threw me off at first, but made sense.

While Marmot isn't a massive ski hill, it's gotten better in recent years. It is particularly good for families with young children because there's a lot of easy runs and a dedicated learning space.

This is a well run and maintained facility with something for all skiing levels. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The surroundings are spectacular. The runs are well marked and the degree of difficulty graded accurately. Lift lineups are short (if any) as the high speed quad lifts quickly disperse skiers.

Jasper in January was a bonus so the lift tickets were discounted but the weather was great, never had to wait in line and Marmot continues to be one of the top ski hills in Canada. The weather has been so warm that there are some rough patches showing but a good snow will fix those. Lunch for 2 was... More

Very nice skiing area. Perfect for a family , The line in lift is very small so not much waiting time. If you are an expert you probably won't enjoy it since it's mostly green and blue run.
