My partner and I only actually took the tram down. We hiked from the bottom to the very top (about 6km to the restaurant and another 1.5 to to summit). We had a nice lunch in the restaurant and took the tram down. We had warm gear but wish we would have brought more for the summit as you are... More

Great views - sky tram is a means of getting there. Pretty pricey and really disappointed that they give US and Canadian AAA equivalent discounts but not to Aussies despite the AAA affiliation on the card. Spoke to manager who flobbed me off with crap about advertising contras. Columbia icefields gave us a discount they did not flob us off... More

I actually purchased Maligne Lake Cruise and Tram package, both of them were just Great. I really recommend this package if anyone plan to go visit Jasper!! There's hiking trail that can walk up to the top of the mountain, it takes about 4-5 hours. On the top of the mountain, it's just breath taking, I just can say that... More

The tram is a relatively short ride up the mountain and then it's a reasonable climb up if you want to reach the top. It's worth doing, the views are pretty amazing whichever way you look. Watch out for the sun (wear sunscreen) and the cold (take a jumper) and you will need reasonable shoes if you want to make... More

I didn't think I really wanted to do anything "commercial", but now I'm so glad I did!! The views from the top are breathtaking. It's really worth it to hike up to the "true" summit of Whistlers Mountain- about 600 ft. It's a steep little climb though. Make sure you're wearing good footwear. I still can't believe how many people... More

We've been up a number of trams over the years, and this one is my favourite. (In my opinion, better than the others at nearby Banff and Lake Louise.) Views on the way up and from the top are extraordinary. Expect a wait, particularly if it is a clear, sunny day. When you arrive, I recommend getting your tickets immediately.... More

Amazing views from the top, well worth the wait at the bottom (and the price!!!) we were all packed into the tram - a little like a London tube during rush hour. But once you reach the top it is all worth it.

Travelling to the summit of the mountain gives you a great view of the village and all the surrounding park , mountains and all.

The wait is worth it. There is about 1500 people going up the tram in a day on Whistlers. It is organized, but it will take time. So go, then go back to your car and have a picnic. Don't forget your jacket, as it gets windy up top.
