Entryway to the Icefields

We stopped here on the way to the Skywalk and the Icefields. Nothing remarkable here, but they do have toilet facilities and food for purchase.

Unique experience not to bemissed. Takes awhile. Go early. Well organised. Only on the glacier 15 minutes.

Must see place in the Canadian Rockies. There are not too many places where you can walk on glacier in July. The only sort of negative thing I have to say is finding parking spot was not fun.

This building was nice, but it was super crowded. The bottom floor was under construction so it felt more crowded due to that. There is an expensive restaurant there, but there is food available. There are a ton of restrooms and we never had to wait in line for them. It does close early, so if you get there in... More

The ice field it pretty yes, but I do not suggest paying to go out unless you are dying to. The most you can get out of the pricy walks is a few steps left, right, forwards, and back, then away you are, done. But it is something wonderful to see and take photos of. I suggest relaxing with a... More

As with most world renowned attractions. The Columbia Icefield centre is very busy.Be patient, you are on the trip of a lifetime after all. There are many options for food, photo opportunities, fantastic information counters and souvenirs. A walk outside on to the viewing decks reminds you of why this is such a special place. Looking out at the majestic... More

The only reason to visit is if you want to book a tour. If you want to see the icefields, go to the area across the road and avoid this place.

Very busy area. The cafeteria was a zoo! Recommend that you pack a lunch instead. If you want to do the glacier walk, buy your ticket here first.
