Amazing place to visit

Amazing trip onto the icefields, take your sunglasses the snow and ice are so bright. A must-do trip if you're in the Rockies.

Unfortunately the Glacier Skywalk was closed so we went on the Ice Explorer, which is a special vehicle designed for glacier travel. The snow was so bad, we only left the vehicle for a couple of minutes, but that was all we needed to obtain a breath taking and very cold experience.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and kind. The center itself is a place to stop and visit .

This was OK, simply as a waiting area for the Snowcoach. Very crowded, forget trying to have a meal, a sandwich was all I could manage to buy. Facilities OK, nothing special. The view of the Icefield from the terrace is spectacular.

From here you can start your trip to the glacier with the snow coach. It is a good place also to have some food in addition to some decent bathrooms, although when I was there it was really crowded. The terrace gives some nice locations for pictures, but you have to adjust your camera to avoid the cars in the... More

The center was only partially open when we were there due to the early season and construction. We just went in to use the bathrooms and sit on their upper level patio to eat our (brought with us) lunch. It was a gorgeous day and the patio provides a perfect view of the glacier. You can watch the snowcat trundle... More

All tours depart from the visitors centre, good food, souvenir shop, amenities. Plenty of car park, information and great views. Good place for a pit stop even if not taking a tour.

A great place to stop and take in the view but ideally you need to give yourself enough time to take a snow coach rid up onto the glacier to get the most out of the stop.

We purchased tickets from the U.S. prior to visit. Stopped in on our way from Banff to Jasper. This was in October of 2014. It was a cold windy day with small lines. They drive you to the Glacier where you can take pictures and walk around close to the vehicle. If you have never seen a Glacier up close,... More

this is avery very busy but good visitors centre with plenty of parking and some great views of the glacier. be prepared for lots and lots of steps though (not sure where the disabled access ig) but the queues are insane, well managed but very long. some informative areas but you come mainly for the view and the walks
