I grew up in Grovedale and I have enjoyed skiing at Nitehawk for many years. Recently, I was given the fantastic opportunity to work there and what I learned is that the Nitehawk staff members are a family who work together to give the customers the best experience that they can. They take their jobs seriously and they care about... More

Sure Nitehawk may be small and in a region thats about as flat as a pancake, but that also gives it its broad appeal.. For one, you get a lot of locals who come year after year giving it a more family friendly vibe. Another benefit is that you don't have to brave all sorts of dangerous mountain passes in... More

Very expensive for what you get. Not the best value.

Good hill if you are local to Grande Prairie and want to run out for a quick ski. The hill is north facing in the Wapiti River valley, can be cold and windy both down and up. Snow quality is fair to poor and hard packed most of the time. Great for learning to ski or trying out new equipment... More

It does take a little longer to be fitted into boots/skies if you do not have your own. But it is definetelly a ski hill that you do not want to pass if you just learning and starting out. It has some very good - small hills to start on. It also has very friendly and knowledgable instructors who will... More

Not bad. The campground is a fairly new addition to Nitehawk and a number of the sites reflect this fact. This is the only campground in the Grande Prairie area that you can call and reserve ahead of time. The main problem with this campgroud is the fact that it is always jam-packed with locals on the long weekends as... More

Nitehawk is definitely a unique all season attraction. Being right along the Wapiti River it definitely has a great view and is super close to O'Brian Park, if you like photography bring a camera. The campsites are roomy and private. And the ski and bike hill are great for beginners, if your an advanced skier it isnt for you though.... More
