I took my grade six class to the legislature for a visit. It was actually the day before the provincial election in Alberta so the whole place was buzzing with excitement. Our tour was very good - our guide was very friendly and worked well with the kids. At the end of it all the students participated in a mock... More

Took my parents yesterday to visit the legislature for Canada Day. It was really fun. We were able to take the tour inside and there were performances outside. We had a picnic as well.

This is a very nice building that gives tours, although I have not been inside for a while. Outside there is a nice park on the northern parts that is especially nice in the summer hanging around the various pools and fountains. At Christmas they have very nice lights on the trees that are more impressive from a distance. Parking... More

This is a beautiful building , with a fountain and reflecting pools . A great place to picnic or sit and relax . They allow people to wade/swim in the pools, but not the fountain . There are tours of the building on the hour , seven days a week . You enter on the west side of the building... More

I have taken the tour of this facility dozens of times and I still enjoy it. The grounds are beautiful and my daughter loves to play in the water. In fact, we're going again on Canada Day.

I may be a bit of a political geek: this is legislature number five (including Parliament) that I've visited. I firmly believe that all Canadians should visit their provincial/territorial seats, as well as the federal capital, at least once and it's my intention to see all of them. The grounds of the building are quite extensive and there are a... More

I was at the Legislature to witness my Mother In Law being sworn in as the 18th Lieutenant Governor for Alberta. Being in the building itself is impressive but inside the council chamber is so beautiful. We experience the grandeur of the ceremony and enjoyed a reception following in the rotunda area. The domed ceiling above the rotunda is so... More
