Traveled here with some friends who had worked in the building so kind of got a personalized tour but the main attraction for me were the beautiful grounds and fountains outside. Very clean and worth the visit for some of the photos you can get.

This is an absolutely beautiful place and I love that you can go in the fountain in the front - however this is also a con because it's packed with little kids screaming while you try to appreciate this beautiful building. Other than the kids though it's great. Great for photos, and just some time with greenery and pretty gardens... More

Beautiful building and grounds. Went on a Sunday afternoon and we were greeted by a bride and groom on the steps. Well worth a visit to walk around, read the plaques, and see the water fountains.

I decided that since I was finally in Edmonton on a nice day and all the construction at the visitor centre was complete I would check out the Alberta Legislature. The architecture and gardens were as always beautiful. What was really cool was the new visitor centre. The theatre portion was not open for the day, but the interactive area... More

My friend and I visited the legislature on Canada Day this year. Other than the insane amount of people also visiting that day it was an awesome experience. It is such a beautiful building and so full of history. All the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and we learned a lot! The grounds are absolutely magnificent - if you've... More

Tours are free and engaging. The building is beautiful and the grounds in front have a beautiful fountains and behind have beautiful flowers and picnic areas. Many graduation parties and wedding photos are taken here as it is a superb site. In the winter the trees on the grounds are lit with thousands and thousands of Christmas lights. It is... More

We were in town for a weekend visit, and decided to see the Legislative Building. It's well worth the one hour tour, and our guide, Paul, was excellent. Don't miss the very good video presentation and interpretive centre just a five minute walk away.
