Most people visiting Edmonton would not think about going to the Alberta Legislature building but they would be missing out! Most Edmontonians know it's a great place for wedding pictures and awesome winter walks amongst the Christmas holiday lights and great outdoor ice skating. It is also a great place for a splash park for families in the summer, lawn... More

Great Place to come and see. A lot to see and do. Great grounds to see. Taking on scenic tours. A lot of History on Alberta and Edmonton. Great view to see Fire Works at night. Also see the High Bridge all right up.

This was a must stop for me as I'm trying to visit all of the legislatures in Canada. The grounds are beautiful to wander, and I'm sure are even nicer in the summer than they were in February. The legislature is close to downtown, nestled away in a little park. In winter there is a skating rink out front. The... More

Lived within 5 minutes of the Leg for 20 years and, though I've wandered around the grounds quite a bit, I've never actually been inside the building. Therefore, since I decided this is the summer of doing local touristy things, I went over for a visit on Saturday. Followed the instructions on the Web Page, waited around at the front... More

The Legislature and its surrounding grounds are spectacular. It is nestled just south of Jasper ave. with easy access from every direction. Oodles of parking, including some free parking along the road to the east of the park. Easy to access on foot or via bus. The grounds are wheelchair accessible. There is lots of shaded areas throughout the park.... More

We may not always agree with what goes on under the dome, but, we can all agree it is a good place to wander past fountains, trees and Christmas lights. Also a good place to hear the 21 gun salute on Canada Day.

Always well kept (we pay for it better be), bigger than you would think and a nice walk year round. The water feature is nice (don't think people should be allowed it in though) and has a nice cooling spray on hot summer days.

It was great learning about Alberta's history during the tour. The docent was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions.
