I've been racing at Speeders pretty much since the place opened. Love going there and really wish I had more time to go more often. I've been doing this for a long time now. Back around 1997-98, Edmonton's first indoor kart track, Speed Zone, opened on the west end in an abandoned Safeway store. That was my first karting experience... More

Races are won by best lap time and not position, so does not matter where you are on the track as long as you have the best... More

It seems as though most of the complaints have come from participants who are sore about having been kicked out of a race, which is a shame, because Speeders go karts are a blast. I've been twice now and the second time our group all went dressed up as Mario Kart characters. It's definitely not cheap though and the membership... More

I did 3 races and it was so much fun. Great with a large group of friends. I would love to see more of these throughout Canada

First time going to speeders. I was our birthday ( I got two buddies who are born on the same day). We had called ahead to confirm our party of ten the morning of the event to be told that everything was ok and our 2 pm booking was good. We all show up at 1:30 to be told that... More

I was originally excited to introduce Speeders to my friend for the first time, however just as the other commenters have mentioned the staff have now adopted a zero tolerance policy for "reckless driving" -- which i would fully support if people were actually driving recklessly. Firstly I got flagged for something virtually every time i passed the flag staff.... More

Went to SPEEDERS as part of a coprorate team building, and I can see from the reviews that the rules have been tightened even more. At first, we were having a lot of fun and racing around the track. One of my teammembers stopped in the middle of the track and I had to manoever around her quickly and breaked,... More

Mandatory membership fee, gives you the privilege of purchasing races (which are very short, less than 10 minutes). The track is small, the go karts speed can be controlled remotely so they can and will slow you down whenever they feel like it for any dumb reason. I can understand if this is aimed at children, but then again I... More
