Venue - clean, good looking place. The owners spent money on this place. All electric karts, well lit, nice barricades vs old junky tires tire wall, nice art and posters on the walls Pricing - motor racing is not a cheap thing to get into at any level. So pricing is going to be on the higher side compared to most things. But it's... More

Don't agree with the $16 "annual membership", as I brought family from out of town that will probably will never go again in the next year. Races were fun, although the "no drifting" rule makes it less fun. Overall, it was a good experience.

Hi Firearrow, The race account is required for all drivers, it is how we assign you to races through our advance and specialized computer tracking and timing systems. It's practically free as it includes a free race for each person on the month of their birthday, plus specials and much more. Races are won by skill and fastest lap, drifting... More

I've been racing at Speeders pretty much since the place opened. Love going there and really wish I had more time to go more often. I've been doing this for a long time now. Back around 1997-98, Edmonton's first indoor kart track, Speed Zone, opened on the west end in an abandoned Safeway store. That was my first karting experience... More

Hi MiguelMeyer23, Thank you for your feedback, SPEEDERS was designed to be bright, energetic and clean so that drivers not only want to race but also hang out and meet other racers. Many friendships are made everyday, you never know who's going to drop by. Did you know the whole Oilers team was in last year and several top players... More

Well lets just say this, Speeders keep pulling me back to get better and better each time. Its best when you are racing against a good size group to push you even more. Races are won by best lap time and not position, so does not matter where you are on the track as long as you have the best... More

Hi Jenn A, $18 x 4? The cost is actually $15.95 and you said you brought 5 people, so I'm not sure of your numbers. You did not make any mention of the karts or racing so I presume you did not experience the actual product. Should you change your mind and come back I'm sure you will love racing... More

It seems as though most of the complaints have come from participants who are sore about having been kicked out of a race, which is a shame, because Speeders go karts are a blast. I've been twice now and the second time our group all went dressed up as Mario Kart characters. It's definitely not cheap though and the membership... More

Hi Darren M, We agree fully with your first paragraph, well written. Regarding the race account, you may not be aware for the $15.95 you get over $600 in value! The main reason for the account is how we put you into a race with our advance tracking and timing system customized to our use. All the details are listed... More

First time going to speeders. I was our birthday ( I got two buddies who are born on the same day). We had called ahead to confirm our party of ten the morning of the event to be told that everything was ok and our 2 pm booking was good. We all show up at 1:30 to be told that... More

Fake: It's unfortunate when competitors setup an account for just 1 review, to post negative comments, creating a 6-8 hour fake experience that no one would spend their day at, if it were as bad as claimed. Note the comments recommending another company in the second paragraph as proof of the ulterior motive. More

I was originally excited to introduce Speeders to my friend for the first time, however just as the other commenters have mentioned the staff have now adopted a zero tolerance policy for "reckless driving" -- which i would fully support if people were actually driving recklessly. Firstly I got flagged for something virtually every time i passed the flag staff.... More

Hi albertagirl86, Our ProKarts can reach speeds up to 70kms/hr! and with that kind of power, requires attention and control at all times. This is explained in the mandatory briefing and through discussions with our pit team. No driver has ever been removed from a race from another kart bumping them. Drivers that crash or lose control are removed because... More
