Description: Segway Edmonton's tour of the Edmonton River Valley is the first of it's...
Segway Edmonton's tour of the Edmonton River Valley is the first of it's kind.We employ a very thorough training program for riders of all experience levels. Upon arrival to Louise Mckinney park, you will watch a safety video about the operation of the Segway. We will then conduct a training session to cover all the skills required to safely operate a Segway.Once this is completed, we will depart and take an hour and a half tour through the River Valley with short stops to talk about the River Valley and the Segways. There will be a couple points where we will show you the top speed of the Segway in a safe, controlled environment.

This tour was so much fun!!! Mike was an awesome guide. Not being familiar with the streets in downtown Edmonton made it a bit tricky to find but well worth the effort. This ride is like nothing you have ever been on before and I could see it becoming quite addictive if I lived closer. Thanks again Mike!

Try it, you will enjoy it a lot. They go pretty fast. But very easy to control. They take time when you get there to go though training. It's kind of like riding a bike.once you get it,it is super easy!!!

My husband and I used a Groupon for a 30 minute training session. Staff were great. I was a few months pregnant and not sure how vigorous it would be so I didn't include a tour post training. Pshh, it was no problem (although those with balance issues like my husband may have a hard time feeling at ease) but... More

The segway tour was a lot of fun. Our tour guide Joe was very engaging and a lot of fun. Having lived in Edmonto for a long time it was neat to see the river valley in a whole new light.

Segway Tours Edmonton aka River Valley Adventure also rents bicycles. At $10 per hour, it's a bit pricey. The staff seemed more concerned about the $500 security deposit per bike than actual customers renting bikes. We were tourists and would have appreciated a little more enthusiasm for the experience rather than the deposit. We were given some directions and a... More

Only thing I would say is that the training exercises should not be counted as the 1 hour tour part as there are people of all level and nationalities so can take longer and others shouldn't feel they didn't get their hour ride. Other then that was a good time.

Hello why42015, Thank you for taking our adventure tour and we are glad that you had a good time. Safety is extremely important to us and we want to make sure each rider has the appropriate training when getting on the Segway for the first time. After some trepidation, learning not to overthink balancing on wheels with gyroscopes and a handle that isn't for holding on to, we were off and had a tonne of fun experiencing something completely different. Our teens had fun mastering new tech, we had fun keeping up with them. Our tour guide was great and kept us all in line. Paying... More

I pass by this attraction everyday on my way to work. Finally we booked a tour and it was fun!. It was a lot harder then it looked but once you got the hang of it, it was really exciting. It's a great way to travel through the river valley and I would recommend anyone try it. We had Joe... More

Maybe it was a bad day but I found there to be a poorly explained and lengthy training session, a sort of nice but grouchy and impatient trainer, who kept apologizing for coming across so angry. Because he was alone mostly (the other trainer/waitress was taking care of the food bar?) he got behind time wise and kept insisting our... More

Hello p477, Thank you for taking our Segway Adventure tour. When a group takes a Segway tour for the first time, we want to make sure to spend time on how to safely operate the machine. After you have complete the first training session, you are able to book an advance tour. You are not required to watch the training... More

the tour i took is the 1-hour 'tour'. i don't see it as a tour, it is an hour of extensive training to operate the segway on a variety of surfaces and trails. when one is done with this one hour course, one would be very confident driving one around. the tour is secondary, so if you sign up for...
