I drive by on a regular basis but hadn't visited for many years. It is interesting and worth a couple of hours. It is very spread out, so if you have difficulty walking it may take longer to visit the various buildings. Unlike Fort Edmonton Park, it is not very busy -- but, it is also has substantially smaller. The... More

This was our first visit and it did not disappoint! At $20 for a family it is a very affordable family outing. I enjoyed the historical aspect & the costumed actors, kids enjoyed the animals and wagon ride. Don't forget to try some of the Ukrainian food!

The village was excellent and the staff that were in character were incredible. We all enjoyed every minute we had there. It was a shame that we were leaving Edmonton that day and had to cut our visit short. We also made sure that we had some cabbage rolls and perogies before we left. We ended up buying perogies to... We took our kids to this when they were young and enjoyed it then. We went this time with our kids and 7 year old grandson and 16 year old granddaughter. We all enjoyed it very much. I like that it is spread out requiring a pretty good hike to see things. This might be a limiting factor for seniors... More

Loved to see the buildings and talk with the in-period staff. This site is always adding and getting better. Authentic lunch is a real treat.

Very nice place to visit as a family for a Sunday afternoon. Takes about 3 hours to tour the entire place at an average pace.

We did the walking tour, and stopped to talk with the actors. We only saw about half of the buildings in the three hours we were there. The actors are well-versed in their character, and the buildings are well-maintained. Each one is different, and represents a different year from about 1926-1936. We learned a lot about the Ukrainian immigrants and... More

The Ukrainian Village really provides a feel of what prairie life a century or so ago was like. The kids were having fun seeing and learning. The characters in costume played their parts well. They made me felt like I was really talking to someone who were from the period and they are good with kids. The streets can be... More

This was a very enjoyable outdoor museum, whether you have an interest in Ukrainian culture or not. There are many different buildings and costumed interpreters, walking you through the arrival of the first Ukrainian families to a more settled town where they interact and are involved with people of other Canadian cultures. Our children's favorite part was the animals on... More
