WEM is in need of a major Reno. The mall feels like it's stuck in 80's. However, it has some interesting sights that you don't see in other North American malls, like a giant Pirate Ship, an ice rink and an indoor water park. It's worth visiting it once but that's about it.

This is perfect for retail therapy. It has everything from an ice ring, cinema, seal show-you name it. It is massive and very tiring, especially if you have spent a long time in the wilderness. More a girlie thing, I would say.

Edmonton really isn't that exciting...but the WEM is an attraction that is a must if your in the area. We took our 20 and 15 year old kids there and we had a blast. The water park was so much fun, they had rides for all age groups with a really great splash park for the wee kids. There is... More

You can not do this in one day. I am just talking about the mall not all of the attractions. I can not think of a store that is not in this mall. I will also say that the number of restaurants and fast food places is unbelievable. There is a water park, amusement park, sea lion show, aquarium and... More

Arriving in the west edmonton mall (WEM) is kind of overwhelming, I give you that. But if you take a closer look, it's actually just a mall, with some circus acts build around it! Sure, it's fun for a days shopping, if you like the crowds, that is.

There's a lot to do. Mini golf, swimming with slides and wave pool, bungy jumping, sub ride, lots and lots of eats. Stores are all getting to be more and more "high end" so it's not really a good place to go shopping for the family if you have a reasonable budget. There's a great, fun hotel and dinner theatre... The entrance with which we came in was interesting as it had bars and restaurants that one could note to try out. After passing those into the main way, it was clear that this IS indeed the biggest mall in North America. There is an actual amusement park, a sea life type exhibition with underwater sub that you can ride,... More

Go here! The waterslides in West Ed are so much fun! They are a great day trip to do with your family rain or shine since everything is indoors. Definitely worth the time and money.

While in Edmonton, checkout this Mall, it has pretty much anything you want for a full day of fun. If you like food and booze, there are tons of choices, and been on Bourbon Street at this Mall will make you feel you are out in the town having a blast; on Saturdays there is some live entertainment at Red... As the mall is so huge - we were not able to go around all the places. Though I didn't like the food court. At first - it is quite dangerous - as it's been renovated with no caution signs. At second, the tables felt weird - small and tough! The mall is pretty stuffily and crowded. I absolutely hated... More
