The mall is old and it shows. If you are looking for hair or beauty products, jewelry, shoes, candy and lower-priced clothing this is the place to shop. Nothing special or interesting for shopping, okay food court--again nothing special. more

I'm from Edmonton, but I rarely go to WEM. However, when I do, I really enjoy it. Galaxyland is alright - you'd better like roller coasters (I don't like most of them, but they have some nice, gentle roller coasters as well as the crazy ones like the Mindbender). The waterpark is a blast! Try not to go on weekends,... more

The West Edmonton Mall was amazing. It has over 800 stores and many things to see ond do. It is home to an indoor amusement park, indoor waterpark, miniature golf , ice rink, aquarium and several other attractions. My four year olds favorite was the sea lion show.It takes place daily at 2:00 and 4:00.Her other favorite was the giant... more

I'm from Ontario. I visited WEM two years ago with my then five year old daughter and eight year old son. They LOVED it! I admit, the rides at the amusement park are for the younger age group (up to 12) but there are a couple of rides that older ones would enjoy (do NOT expect a theme park -... more

My main reason for going to Edmonton was because i wanted to go to Galaxyland at West Edmonton mall, What a dissapointment! I thought it would be a proper theme park but seemed to be more aimed at little kids, After realising i was one of few males in the park over 12 i left within 10 minutes, and the... more

I'm LOL that so many reviewers are from Edmonton - where is the tourist's perspective? Anyway - I'm no different - I'm a local too. The place hasn't been redecorated since 1982 and probably hasn't been cleaned since sometime in the '90s. Everything look shoddy and worn and unclean. The tables at the food courts are rarely cleaned. The rides... more

Regardless of whether you love or hate malls, if you are in Edmonton for any period of time, you must visit West Edmonton Mall. It's sheer size and countless stores will either impress or overwhelm you. For the shopper, it offers the best selection of shops and services in Alberta. It's also a good place to spend a day in... more

I'm staying in southside now, but when i got here in Canada, the first mall that I saw was West Edmonton Mall, it was a really big mall, good thing they have maps all over the mall and the people are friendly. The bus is also accessible and the parking is good. more

As a resident of Edmonton, here is my unbiassed take on the mall. If you like to shop with the crowds, then weekend shopping at the West Ed' mall is just for you. You can also deposit a portion of your family at the amusement park or waterpark. $99.99CDN gets you a family pass for four for an entire day;... more

We visited the mall on a July weekend - tourists from Seattle. Everyone else we met was a tourist. Our local relatives say they never visit here. We spent a day and a half at the mall and particularly enjoyed: 1. The waterpark - The new Carribean Cove play tower is great for young kids. 2. The sealion show -... more
