What is nice is the peacefulness as you wait for the birds to appear. Not so nice are the mosquitos that attack you to the point of having to give up your outing. That's why its called Be with nature

As a family we all share the many fond memories of walks along the trails enjoying the many changes the different seasons... More

Right now it is still closed from the floods of last year. I really don't know when it will reopen. Great place to see Wood Ducks. Good little hike. Lots of wildlife to be seen early in the morning.

Where can you go to see so many different birds or wildlife here and there. Closed right now due to a severe flood Calgary had about two years ago . It still is under repair but wait until it is reopened it will be better than before.

A great place to wander and catch some wildlife and enjoy the sights and sounds of mother nature and if it is springtime you may even get a whiff of some blossoms .. Several species of ducks usually on the water and on one occasion spotted a Great Blue Heron.

Place with designer shops. You can buy a tea there, furniture, clothes, a hot chocolate, a unique things of history and etc. We had a good time for Shisha here.

Due to the flood of 2013 this place has not reopened. Apparently it will not open until 2016. It is a great piece of nature in central Calgary and will soon be forgotten is they do not get funding to do the clean up.

Our kids school was involved in an intraction week of art and nature at the bird sanctuary. The staff were w very well informed and keen on helping the kids learn about the area.

It's amazing to find this little piece of environmental awareness and care tucked into the middle of the city. A nice retreat from the noise.
