This new building is architecturally appealing. It is close to the Calgary Zoo so can make a day of it in this area of town. Lots of exhibits. The children's play area is a must if you have young children or grandchildren especially in the colder weather when they need to run off steam. There is a cafeteria which is... More

Loved this place because my 11 YO spent two hours totally entertained without me being actively involved. There are a lot of things parents can do with them, and we did, but the activities are so fun that the kids doing them bond immediately over these without any territorial disputes. Not easy feat with that crowd. Older kids probably will... More

Waste of time and money older facilty was better. Plus you have to pay to park. Poorly designed building. Don't bother.

We were in Calgary visiting relatives at Christmas and had some hours to kill between lunches and dinner, so we thought we would take our twin 9 year olds to Spark. It was awesome and a great place for the 9-13 year old set with curious minds who want to learn! Our kids had a ball, lots of interactive displays,... More

Exciting, informative, clean, and Very friendly staff. This is a great place to bring the whole family. Wide variety of daily movies, interactive exhibits for everyone. Extremely clean facility. Cool kids museum too

The building is the coolest thing about the new science center the kids were bored.... when we when we in the kids museum our boys got stuck on a platform inside i had to crawl in there and help them down then when coming out our son fell down the roped exit in my opinion it was dangerous for little... This tower is slowly disappearing from the skyline. Not really a bad thing since it really does look old and tired (sort of like circa 1960 UFO style design). I do admit that they finally added some really cool LED lights that make it look pretty neat at night now. It could use a facelift though.

I guess most of the money was spent on the building and not on the integral parts of the science centre. So many of the hands-on learning displays were either half-working or not working at all. For a building of its size, there was little to do inside. I'm from Calgary but the Edmonton science centre has a lot more... More

I feel as though this place is steering away from fun-science and going into the energy and dirt side of things. I wouldn't waste my time coming back unless I had a kid, or it was adults night. Can they just take everything out of the old science center and put it in this one? What ever happened to spinning... More

This was our first visit to the new TELUS spark. We had family(2 adults & 3 children) from Fort Saskatchewan and we brought them to the Spark. EVERYONE loved it- The "hands on" type of displays were fabulous.
