We come here regularly and it gets better and better. Since the floods it has been very well improved. There is plenty of space and lots of equipment in the playground. There is plenty of space for BBQs, cycling, playing games and socializing.

The park is big and beautiful! We went Ice skating and we have so much fun! The rink is really big, so there's a lot of space for everyone. I recommend bringing warm clothes and hot drinks to keep you warm. Is such a nice activity to do with friends/ family.

There is not too much to do, but it's certainly a good place to go in summer time. BBQ and play water. Play soccer with a bunch of friends is also good.

Terrific hiking trails. Very quiet and peaceful on our walk. Grandkids had a chance to get close to the water and put their feet in. With them being from Australia this was important. The playgrounds were good. My daughter found the smell from recycled tires (used for the flooring) offensive. Some of the areas were under renovations. I am sure... More

I have been going to Bowness Park since I was a kid. We had a picnic with the Grand Kids and checked out the renovations. The new play park is so much fun, but I really miss the splash park. It is a bit of a walk to the picnic sights so bring a buggy or something to carry all... More

Bowness Park is still being worked on as the damage the flood caused was extensive. Most of the picnic sites are available, the walking paths good and last but not least the canoes and peddle boats are back. So good to see this wonderful park coming back to life.

I don't like bowness park and I will never go back there, all there is to do is use the pathways and catch little Minos. Lots of wasps.

Having lived in Calgary for over 20 yrs. it took many years for us to venture there one Friday afternoon - playing hooky from work ... it was & still is a GEM that is so well used by those that know, but overlooked by those perhaps in the more Southern or Eastern areas of the city.(poor them...) Bowness was... More

Have been there for skating in winter, birthday parties & picnics in summer. Lots of mature trees & space to play. Parking can be an issue at times.

We went here for a fun cycling trip for the children while the grown ups walked around. There is a loop where you start in the parking lot, go towards the first bridge across the river, and then loop back around to the parking lot. We ended up at the playground nearby with loads of climbing structures for children of... More
