Groomed island of calm in a busy city

Spring, summer, and fall are the very best times to enjoy, but winter walks, on fine days, are great. Excellent space for families, walkers, joggers.

I have been going to this park for years. Usually I go in the fall to take photo's of my kids in the leaves, but I have also gone in the winter for sledding. There are paved walkways perfect for walking/jogging or rollerblading ect. Lots of ducks in the water that are fun for the kids to feed. Several area's... More

The day was hot and sunny, squintingly so. Confed Park was cool, moist, green and a little oasis in a bustling hustling city that Calgary has become. Bring a seat or blanket and a novel and stay awhile!

Enjoyed our walk in the Confederation Park, we unwind and geocache at the same time, the park is well maintained and beautiful. Great place to get away from the city.

One loop around is 45 minutes. There are benches along the way, as well as toilet facilities at the Calgary Recreation building at the northern part of the park. Far away from houses, yet multiple entry points, this is a park for many to enjoy. On a warm sunday afternoon, many people were picnicking sitting on grass. Small stream runs... More

Busy all the time. People walking their dogs should be aware that at the left tunnel there are coyotes. Lots of wildlife here even ducks swimming in the water with their little broods. Great for camera snappers too. Great for family walks and picnics.

Beautiful scenery, wildlife and the perfect place to walk your dog on a lazy Sunday afternoon with a coffee. I would only imagine it is great for a picnic in the summer providing the grass is poop free...1 full lap around the park is the perfect distance for small breed dogs for their daily walk.
