We were there last month as part of a focus group and got a tour of the brewery included. It seems as though Big Rock is trying to get in touch with their roots again as a craft brewery. There are a number of fabulous new beers coming out!

This tour is really worth your time and money. It may seem expensive, but you get to taste a lot of beer and at the end you get 6 beer cans (pick what you like) as well. The tour guide lady is really enthousiastic and you get to see it all. Go for it and get a driver so you... More

This was an adventure. This beer is excellent and you get to be a sampler when taking the tour. Educational.

Probably one of the best-kept secrets for lunch and brewery tour, but I recall with great admiration and humour an AGM at a different venue with no beer wherein one of the personally-picked directors commented on the perfect blend of brew and bucks for the proprietor and then a lawyer/father/owner exchange with lawyer/son/shareholder ensued. It was classic stuff and Mr.... More

Local brewery with several types of brew... Traditional Ale and Grasshopper frequently stocked in clubs but I like the Honey Brown!

While visiting my boyfriend in Calgary, we decided to go on a tour at the Big Rock Brewery in Calgary. I had been on winery tours - but quite honestly knew nothing about the process of brewing beer. Our tour guide (a lovely blonde-haired woman whose name escapes me now) was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. She led us on a... More

Arranging tours or beer making classes at Heritage Park, Big Rock is a huge sponsor and supporter of Albertan and Canadian events. They are always experimenting with new brews, and one can go to their head office/brewery and find out what's going on. And their beer is world-class.

I understand why a brewery needs to be in an industrial area, but it's a shame as this place is great to visit. Go on a tour of the new brewery and then have lunch in the restaurant across the parking lot. We've hosted events at the restaurant and the food is delicious (not to mention the variety of beer)!

Did you know it has one of the better restaurants in industrial SE Calgary? Heavy German influence in the food.
