This area in Calgary is a nice and relaxing community with lots of unusual shops and eateries. Parking spaces are plenty. If you plan for a non-rush walk for a couple of hours, this place won't disappoint you. You can expect getting some nice surprises too, such as vintage toys and hard-found books.

Kensington is a cute neighbourhood for a stroll. Even if you don't want to window shop, we enjoy walking through the residential areas... the houses are older and adorable.

What a way to spend a lazy Sunday - exploring the wonderful shops and streets of Kensington. Nice cafes to have a break, and plenty of browsing to be done.

Kensington has many interesting shops and restaurants and it's fun to wander around to see some of Calgary's treasures. The one pitfall is the parking situation - many surrounding neighbourhoods are by permit only so it can be a real challenge to park anywhere in Kensington. If you ever have dinner reservations, show up very early, you may have to... More

Lots of independent stores/restaurants. Grab a java and stroll down the street.

Yes, there are good restaurants, and I can concede that. As I do not smoke pot, buy comics, pay for coffee, tea or drink it's pretty hard to convince me otherwise that I need to be in this area of town. There are a lot of trendy fashion stores and I hear a great place to buy vinyl, those are... More

It always surprises me how many visitors to Calgary miss seeing Kensington...it's only three of four blocks in total, but it's cute and has some great restaurants and pubs...as well as fun shopping! Don't miss the Salsa fest in August...it's great!
