The area blocked out as the shopping district of Kensington in most city maps had a number of what looked like enjoyable bars, pubs and patios. However, the shopping was limited. There's a handful of boutique stores scattered around but none of them particularly stand out. It's worth a walk around, but don't expect to do much shopping. If you... More

My hotel was in this neighbourhood and after a long flight I was pleased to find a nice safe area to walk around. The neighbourhood is friendly with an eclectic mix of bookstores, boutiques, tea shops, bars, and bistros. Not nearly as busy as downtown and feels more like a separate little village.

Stroll though the many small shops in Kensington and stop for a bite to eat at the many eateries. Don't forget to stop at Crave and try one of their delicious cupcakes.

Love Kensington for a nice Saturday stroll. Grab a coffee and check out the cute stores! Great pubs to spend an evening with friends, drinks and food! The sun and salsa festival is must when it takes place too!!!

Kensington, of which I'd heard for many years but never visited, turns out to be a melting pot of people and small, artsy/craftsy businesses including wonderful tea rooms and galleries as well as small touristy shops for souvenirs. A person could spend a week there, sussing out the unique, international flavor of the area. Well worth at least a couple... More

Great neighborhood with awesome shops and restaurants. Easily accessible by car, bike and foot. If you are into coffee one of the original roasters in Canada "The Roastery" is centrally located.

I love Kensington, there are all sorts of really cool shops, restaurants and bars to check out. It's in close proximity to downtown as well so even if on the off chance you don't like Kensington to can find shopping and dining that you'll actually like. But that won't happen because Kensington is awesome.
