This 2, max 3 blocks walk is very nice. There's a lot of small little restaurants, pubs and bars and some clothing stores. And it takes you directly to The Core Shopping mall. They close it for cars on schedule.

Stephen Ave is a must if you are in Calgary visiting friends. There are lots of great pubs and places to eat. One of the newest is the Cactus Club. It had a great atmosphere and fantastic staff. Be prepared to wait for a table as it's new and very good..

Nice to stroll and see the shops. The Hudson bay is a classic building and appears well kept. It joins the other shopping areas making it convenient for a shopping option.

On warm days this is a great spot to walk up and down to show off. Grab a spot at one of the many bar patios, but come early, the best spots fill up well before lunchtime.

I marvelled at the historical buildings they have. I saw Sportcheck, Hudsons Bay, Winners, Dollarama, Palace Theatre and different restaurants. It was fun walking around and I took a moment to appreciate the beauty of the vintage buildings around me.
