By far my favorite time of year! I've been taking my son since he was 4 weeks old (yes you can find spots to discretely feed a newborn on the grounds) and I've been going since I was 3 or 4. Highly recommend the parade then spending the day at the grounds.. or multiple ones. To save money, you can... More

I love the Stampede. I go every year. This year was a good trip even with the flood. They had done an amazing job of cleaning the grounds. Even if you don't go to the rodeo, you can have a good time. This year I didn't go to the rodeo. I just walked the ground enjoying the food and the... More

So much variety of activity for all ages - love the rodeo and the chuck wagon races and Grandstand Show - book them on different days in order to get free park admission and enjoy other attractions.

There's so much to do and it all costs money... Rides, music, rodeo and lots of deep fried goodness to eat. Kudos to the 2013 Stampede for even putting it on! Two weeks before Stampede this year it was underwater! There was a major flood in Calgary but they pumped out the water and they pulled it off! Well worth... More

The Calgary Stampede is at the core of what gives the city it's unique identity: work hard, play hard, friendly. There's something for everyone during this event - authentic cowboy and first nations experiences, numerous adventures for kids, and a wild party time for the older 'kids'. The Stampede grounds itself has all the elements in 1 place: world-class rodeo,... More
