I went on a 3.5h horse ride up to the little Beehive mountain near Lake Louise. The first section of the horse trail runs through a beautiful forest and allowed me some time to get familiar to Real, a beginner horse. The second part of the trail joins the ordinary hiking trail. The views are just stunning! Thanks a lot... More

We did the 5 hour ride to the Plain of Six Glaciers via the Highline trail on the way there and the lower trail on the way back. The horses were very nicely matched to the riders and easy to handle. On the highline trail, we got glimpses of the lake and chateau. We quickly went by Lake Agnes so... More

The most beautiful scenery of my life, with great wranglers and great horses. I don't know if any other horsepacking trip can ever live up to this one. Oh, pack lots of mosquito repellant. We did and were glad of it.

We originally booked the Lake Agnes 2 hour ride, but that morning changed to the 4 hour Plain of Six Glaciers...it was the best decision of our trip. Other than cold and rainy weather, we could not have imagined a better time. The trail is a bit rough, but you would never know it on the horses and they handled... More

Had a beautiful day with scenery you can only dream of... By far the most enjoyable trail ride we've ever done! Great variety of trail terrain with many wide open areas. The staff was very kind and helpful.

We booked the 4 hour ride to Plain of six glaciers (includes 35 min stop at tea house). We had a group of 6 riders with 2 guides. I felt this was really good since they gave us good instructions on how to ride the horses. The guides were very informative and provided good information about lake Louise and horses... More

My wife and I took a 31/2 hour trip through Timberline Tours to Lake Agnus and Little Beehive. Everyone was friendly, happy and helpful. The horses well cared for. The trip to Lake Agnus was a visual delight as the views were fantastic. The forever views of Little Beehive are stunning. The Teahouse was delightful. But what really made the... More

I experience a wonderful five day pack trip with Timberline Tours for July 2014. With our guide and cook, we turned out to be an all female group, which proved to be immensely fun, rewarding and memorable. Horse riding in the Rocky Mountains is a very special experience; if you like horses and want an authentic back country experience, I... More

Susan Peyto who ownes Timberline tours is as real as they come. She's a very nice woman who is serious about her horses and the people who work for her. Her animals are healthy, well cared for and it shows. We had her take some items up to Skokie Lodge for us....we were hiking and didn't want to carry ALL... More

We just completed a four day pack trip with Timberline Tours - had a great time. Staff is friendly and knowledgable, horses were well-trained and well-behaved, and the camps were well stocked. We slept in a roomy walled tent and ate in a warm cook tent. The camps were protected by a solor powered fence to keep bears out. Scenery... More
