There is no doubt it's a great location for a hotel, but inside it's feels like there's no actual centre, and can get extremely busy with tourists and guests. I prefer it in the winter, it's quieter, and skating on the lake is great fun.

Fairmont pretty well tells you what you need to know about the hotel. Beautiful rooms, excellent restaurants, exceptional service. To have this property sitting adjacent to the beauty that is Lake Louise is extra special. Be sure to pay whatever it take to have a great view of the lake, mountain and glacier from your room. We did and we... More

The minute you first see the lake and chateau, it takes your breath away. The emerald color of the water, the back-drop of the glacier topped mountains and the beauty of the chateau make for a fantastic scene. Pick your day/time for walks to the lookouts - not much to see when you look down on mist! The chateau's food... More

The building from outside was incredible, we were in awe. A collection of flags stood upright welcoming all nationalities. We wanted to go to high tea but it was booked out, lesson learned

Love the history, scenery, comfort and well trained, efficient and courteous staff of Chateau Lake Louise. This property is over run with people from all over the world. We have come in years past to enjoy hiking from one end of the lake to the other during a day time visit. But there is nothing better than watching the sunrise... More

What a majestic and wonderful skyline this chatteau-like grand hotel provides as you walk up the gradient to it's maze of serene and deep pocketed, colorful entrance gardens. From the inside of the Main Entrance Hall to the Grand Plaza which faces Lake Louise directly, one can only wonder at the magnificent sights before your eyes. Kids also seem to... More

While not as picturesque from the outside as its cousin in Banff, this hotel has a beautiful interior worth visiting and the view of the lake from its patio is just awe-inspiring.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Canadian Rockies road trip. For some reason (I didn't question why) we were upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor (Rm #881) with a balcony and a DYNAMITE view of the lake. It was the nicest room I've ever had in all my years of travel. Service was excellent... More
