only a few minutes out of the town of Lake Louise. The real drawback here is it is impossible to find a place to park. I had to go to paid parking at the Hotel and it start at $20/hr. I only came up to take pictures and it was crazy busy with people. The view of the Lake and... More

Equally as awesome as Moraine Lake, but, on a much larger scale. Problem is very expensive. Four of us had a total of 5 adult beverages, the bill with $10 tip was $81. However, I imagine you will have trouble finding a better view in North America to have a drink or a bite to eat. Lake Louise itself is... More

The lake and the surrounding mountains are spectacular, but the hotel itself is in need of some serious updating. Our room was old and obviously had a few problems that were simply "patched" and not taken care of properly. Staff was lovely. Just the old girl needs a little makeover!

There really is no beating the view. However, it is so full (guests & tourists) that service is really pushed. One night we could not find somewhere even to sit for a drink. Facilities are fine but it's large and bland and in our view not worth the money.

This is one of the best hotels in Canada. It is located in front of a beautiful lake. It looks like a castle, and has preserved the old style decor. The restaurant has great food. I have brought several visitors from Calgary for a high tea at this hotel. One can also do the tree house hike from here.

The views of this lake are nothing short of spectacular. Even though it was January when we visited, the Lake Louise/Banff area had an abnormally low snowfall, most areas were just brown. It was odd to see so much brown in January, but it was still beautiful. The crowds were thick too....it was difficult to get any good pictures without... More

Lake Louise is the best part of the Banff national park. The lake is set in the majestic backdrop view of mt victoria and the glaciers feeding the lake with fresh water continously. This is also starting point for many rivers down the stream. Must take the canoe to go up the lake and enjoy the magnificent view. Trails are... More

The location makes it exceptional! Although parking was difficult to find. Avoid sitting in the sunny area inside the restaurant; rather there is very nice dining area located outside; with an incredible view.

Before arriving in Lake Louise i had wanted to go for afternoon tea at the Chateau -we walked in after a walk around the lake and managed to get a space that afternoon. We sat in the window overlooking the lake the service was first class as you would expect. It's a set menu so all you have to decide... More

I've seen pictures of the Chateau on Lake Louise and always said i would like to visit it some day. Well, that day came and it looked just like the pictures. What a beautiful location to stay at. The lake is amazing and the Chateau is very classy and unique.
