The Lake Louise gondola is a fourteen minute ride over an enclosed grizzly preserve. Three out of four rides we saw bears up close and personal and yet safely fifteen feet over their heads. The people riding the lifts help each other to find the bears; one will shout out as you pass each other, "bear on your right at... More

it was our first time on the Sightseeing Gondola, we up with my daughters. We went up a bit late as the top of the park restaurant closes at 5:00 on Sunday. Operators had choice of either a covered lift or an open lift. It was pretty cold, and I didn't account for a jacket or gloves, so we opted... More

If you are going, getting the ticket with the lunch option is highly recommended. There is a buffet for around an extra $7 (not including taxes) and you have the choice of a number of salad dishes, soups, meatballs, chicken, cake. Definitely worth doing before taking the gondola or chair lifts up the mountain! Anyway, after lunch, we chose to... More

Although we didn't see a bear, probably your best opportunity in the park. There was construction works going on on our visit that was probably scaring them off but lovely views. The 5 stars are for the informative centre at the top and the $5 info hike you can take from there. Well worth doing.

We didn't have the best weather the day we were there but still enjoyed our visit. The staff that worked there was great, very friendly and helpful. It was kind of a quiet day so we received more attention. The ride was nice with choice of gondola or chair. Beautiful views at the top. We very much enjoyed the interpretive... More

We purchased the Gondola/Meal Package which was a good deal. We chose to ride in the Open Gondola which was great fun and gave you a chance to enjoy the views. We were a little disappointed when we reached the restaurant as there was a wedding taking place on the outside seating area and so this was closed to diners.... More

I had a chance to take the Gondola at Lake Louise Ski Hill. You can take the gondola or ski chair almost to the top of the mountain. It is something that u will never forget. The view is breathtaking. You see Lake Louise nestled against the mountains. Got some good pictures of the surrounding mountains. There is the Whitehorn... More

There are lots of great views in the Canadian Rockies. I just wasn't enthralled with paying for something you can see almost everywhere. The folks at the gondola were nice. They have a nice café and gift shop. Saw lots of the same type stuff on drive up the Ice Field Parkway and on the drive to Moraine Lake.

If you get a chance to take the gondola near the top of the mountain at Lake Louise, it is an experience you will never forget. The views of Lake Louise are amazing and the scene is simply heavenly. Had a lovely glass of wine on the patio and could have stayed there for ever. Make sure to visit the... More

This review is restricted to the several-times-daily interpretive guided hike from the Interpretive Center underneath the Whitehorn restaurant, near the top of the Lake Louise gondola ride. Living, as we do, in bear country in the mountains of Colorado, we were skeptical that we would learn much on this interpretive hike in a grizzly bear area at 2,000 meters east... More
