Visibility was poor when we visited. We enjoyed going up the mountain on the ski lift. This was part of a tour package. We wouldn't have purchased it singly because of the poor visibility due to smoke from forest fires. .

We got to the gondola at 10:30am, very little line ups but the big tour buses were starting to pull up. We got the ride and dine and choose the lunch buffet. You could upgrade and eat at the top of the gondola but choose to eat at the bottom. We will try this option next if we do it... More

Arrived early and parked easily at about 9 am. Breakfast was all you could eat so the kids did! The four seat open gondola was fab although hubby is terrified of heights; this just added to the amusement of all. Great views from the top and a walk up the mountain through alpine meadows covered in snow made this magical.... More

It's ok. Not the grandest view but worth trying. No bears at all. Bring sweater as it gets cold. Nice place to snowboard and skii

This is a ski lift come winter, but a nice ride to the top in summer in either an open lift or closed gondola. From the top you'll see Lake Louise in the distance. For photographers, mornings will be the best light. You get off at the top and spend as much time as you like before heading down.

We saw 4 grizzly bears on our ride here! The gondola staff were very nice and let us take another ride up and down so that we could view 2 of them again. (They were hanging out on a pile of snow.) Beautiful views from up top and the small museum was also very nice!

I had been on this gondola when I was a child but hadn't been as an adult, so we decided to go. Not being a skier and afraid of heights, I was glad they had the covered car option as well as the ski lift style chair. I tried both and much preferred the open style. You have amazing views... More

This is a great ride to take in the views of the area and to spot some wildlife (we saw a black bear while on the gondola). Go for the gourmet combo and enjoy the fantastic view while fine dining at Whitehorn restaurant. The interpretative center is great for kids with pelts and stuffed animals on display

If you want to ski all day and you don't have time to visit Lake Louis (which is usually under the snow and ice at winter time) or you don't have enough money for expensive dinners at Lake Louis hotel/resort, you will see it anyway from the gondola. It is such a convenient way to see all the mountains around.... More
