Today was amazing! We live in HK and wanted to really explore this lovely country. We were lucky enough to find Joel and get the snowshoeing adventure in. Wow amazing.... And the additional information about the trees, glaciers, wildlife from Joel made the event even more spectacular then just the scenery. It was also a nice touch when Joel pulled... More

Can a guide alone make a trip...yes. Nadine was like Bill Nye the Science Guy - but for snow. I tried a number of different varieties of snow shoeing while in Alberta from heli snowshoeing to remote long distance snowshoeing, to guided backcountry snowshoeing. But the most educational and rewarding was my snowshoe with Great Divide Nature Interpretation. Under Nadine’s... More

My brother and I are pretty adventurous people and wanted to go off the beaten path and snowshoe in areas where few travel. Joel took us near the Crowfoot Glacier and we had a blast! He's so knowledgable about the area. He spoted lynx tracks and taught us about the different types of flora and fauna (bc we were so... More

We had a fantastic time on our private snowshoeing tour with Joel and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. He totally involved our kids who are 9 and 11 with his entertaining and informative facts and they loved every minute. The scenery was amazing in itself, but having Joel as a guide with his enthusiasm, wealth... More

We enjoyed a marvelous outing with Joel as our guide. The scenery was fantastic & the theme for our adventure was "grizzly bears". We learned so much - not only about snowshoeing, but also about grizzlies - their habitat, habits & the risks relative to their long-term survival in the area, Joel is a wealth of information & certainly gave... We'd never snow-shoed before our three-hour private tour with Nadine. She was an awesome teacher-- we found the snow-shoeing to be easier than we expected, even when we were forging our own trails. While the instruction on technique was good, the rest of the tour was a complete (and pleasant) surprise. Nadine stopped us a several points to talk about... More

As it was our first snowshoeing trip we decided to go with Great Devide Nature Interpretation because it was providing snowshoeing gears & guidance. We are glad that we took that decision. We realized that it was much more than just gears & guidance. It was a learning experience about nature with adventure. Our guide Joel is an expert in... More

We joined Joel for a lovely morning tour in Jan 2015. The walk around the area was beautiful and we leant so much during the time. Being so different from our natural environment it is always great to have someone who wants to tell us all about theirs and Joel loved doing that.

This Christmas my husband and I traveled to Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Our goal was simply to learn to snowshoe and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The experience was so much more. Joel was our guide and was like being with: an Olympic snowshoe athlete, expert teacher, incredibly intelligent outdoorsman, a compassionate environmentalist, and a bit of a thrill seeker! We... We spent a great day snowshoeing with Joel on Saturday, we walked up to Island lake which is not far from Lake Louise. It was fun making new tracks in the snow and walking across the lake. It was great to listen to Joel, he has so much knowledge of the area and the wildlife that live in the mountains.... More
