This was a very nice, in town walk. The path along the Bow river leads to a series of falls, not very high, but very broad. The end of the trail and best views are reached by a well paved path and sets of stairs. We really enjoyed the walk and a good free activity in a very expensive town.

Bow Falls was the highlight of our trail walk from downtown Banff. The trail was very well kept and the view of the Bow River and Bow Falls was excellent. What an awesome natural wonder!

It is very nice place for a short walk. Bow Falls are wide and powerfull. there is few places where you can look at it. Good photo opportunity. You can also walk aroud the area to look at the majestic The Fairmont Banff Spring Hotel. Worth to visit place.

From downtown Banff walk to river bridge, along to falls, back towards town but take the signposted path to Banff Springs Hotel (beautiful) passing the Cascade Gardens ( where you can look down main street Banff). Along the way there are other attractions( museums etc). Go to info. center to get map. A very enjoyable walk.

This is one of the Banff national parks "paved views" as I like to call them. It's a nice spot with lots of parking and bathrooms and is perfect if you have seniors and kids with you. If you are in banff, you should definitely hit this spot. Personally, I think there are many much nicer and more interesting views... More

Bow falls is a pleasant walk from the campground in Banff. You can also get a look at the Hoodoo's which are quite interesting. A black bear was spotted on the trail when we were there

Worth seeing if you are in Banff with 15 minutes to spare. With little rain it is a small stream but with some rain it has a bit more going for it.

During our visit to Banff recently, we also visited the Bow Falls. This marvel of nature is an attractive place and attracts a large number of tourists every day.

We had been advised to walk the Bow Falls trail from downtown Banff by a shop keeper. We had no idea how lovely the trail was and that it would end with this rushing river and falls. At the end of the trail there are quite a few stairs. You can drive there which we didn't know, but enjoyed the... More

Another terrific stop when you are visiting the Banff area. The falls were lush and flowing. The sound of the rushing water was mesmerizing.
