We walked along the Bow river from banff to reach the falls. It is a pleasant walk, there's a few steps in places. The falls are not very high but they are the width of the river. They are also accessible by car, there's a car park nearby.

One of the must sees in the area huge volume of water coming through these wide falls good area for parking and photos......impressed by the wrecked telephone box covered with grizzly claw marks.....the bear had taken exception to it and trashed it ........now a local landmark itself

We walked along the Bow River to Bow Falls and I could hardly stop taking photos as the scenery was spectacular. The routes were well marked and offered a chance for wildlife spotting. The views of the river, the Banff Springs Hotel and the bridges were wonderful.

These falls are right in Banff and very easy to access from the town. It is a bit unfair really as we had just spent 5 days looking at bigger more magnificent falls around Banff jasper and yoho national parks. If you have seen others you might be like us and think "nice, now what". But if you want easy... More

Very pretty when river in spate. Not the biggest falls you will ever visit but very pretty and sneaks up on you as you come around the bend in the road......

This is a nice one hour rafting trip to see the river and the Hoodoos. You won't get wet. $50/person canadian. We went at 3:30 pm and it was hot. Might have been better in the morning.
