As this was our first time on snowshoes, Sarah and Jess made the experience fantastic! The wonderful scenery, their observations and knowledge of the area and wildlife, their great hot cocoa and maple sticks, and their concern that each person was comfortable made this a wonderful and not-to-be forgotten afternoon in the Canadian Rockies.

I went to lake louise and the johnston canyon with them. I was pleased with the friendliness of the guys working there especially Annika and Jordan who took us to the canyon. The visit to lake louise leaves plenty of time for discovery around the lake. However I would be happier if the canyon visit was a bit longer allowing... More

The weather was not perfect , but we all had, a good time. The company provides snowshoes and will also loan winter boots.Poles are provided too. You are collected from ypur... More

While I will say that this is something you could do on your own, I still think it was worth paying money to have a ride (pickup and drop-off), ice cleats, guide and snacks. I did not have a vehicle so getting to this location would have been difficult and you would also need to rent ice cleats (clampons) as... More

Very happy indeed with Discover Banff tours. We booked the powder hound express which utilizes Snowy Owl Adventures for dog sledding at Spray Lake. This was one of the highlights of our trip as both my daughter and I love dogs and getting to mush them through the snow was memorable. These dogs work hard but you can tell they... More

We had a great time on this hike. Our guide Jordan was very knowledgeable and he made it fun. We had abnormally warm weather so we didn't get to see as much of the ice formations but what we did get to see was beautiful! The cat walks are amazing and it really is a lovely hike. If Jordan's mom... More

While we were visiting Banff we enjoyed and afternoon hike in the Johnson Canyon with our son and his girlfriend. It was a 5.2km round trip hike and all of us enjoyed it very much. Our guide Courtney was terrific and very knowledgeable about the canyon. In the middle of the hike we were treated to hot chocolate and maple... More

You can do this tour on your own. By "tour" they mean lead walk on clearly marked paths that are easily accessible. We did the nighttime walk and our guide did nothing but yammer on about light pollution for 1.5 hours. The tour might have been worth 20 Canadian dollars, not 56. Get a trail map for a buck and... Excellent small trek to the canyon. Beautiful views of the surrounding areas, frozen waterfalls. Excellent guide Becky. Very informative, polite and funny. Definately would recommend to anyone visiting Banff.
